The Amazing Danni El
Has It Been Two Weeks Already? Yep, I believe so. It's been just about two weeks ago that Danni El went on her journey. Danni, Wherever you are, I hope you're having a great time, and I hope you are still touching people with your beautiful music. And, I hope you come back soon.
Anyway, here she is in a new video performing her song colores. When I first saw her in Hollywood about a year ago, this was the first song I heard her play. She's played some AMAZING songs since then, this one will always be my favorite.
HAPPY THURSDAY!!!
GOOD MORNING! Let's start off the day with part 4 of THE PATCH PARABLES

Scientists call for global ban on bee-killing pesticides:
(NaturalNews) With a myriad of concrete evidence now in plain view, there is simply no denying that pesticides are a direct cause of massive bee declines all around the world. And despite continued denial by corporate-whore governments in the U.S., the U.K., and elsewhere that have sided with the chemical manufacturers on the matter, scientists and agricultural experts from all corners of the globe are joining together as one to call for a worldwide ban on neonicotinoids, a class of pesticides that has been definitively linked to causing Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD). Three recent field studies, two of which were published in the journal Science, confirm that even sub-lethal exposure to neonicotinoid pesticides among bees causes them to lose their way when out foraging. Many conventional food crops are pretreated or sprayed with neonicotinoid pesticides, which leads to the contamination of pollen and nectar that bees collect. "The data, both ours and others, right now merits a global ban," said Chensheng Li, author of the Harvard University study that confirmed neonicotinoid pesticides as a primary cause of CCD. "Our study clearly demonstrated that imidacloprid is responsible for causing CCD, and the survival of the control hives that we set up side-by-side to the pesticide-treated hives augments this conclusion." Li says removing neonicotinoids from global use for at least five years would leave plenty of time for researchers to study and observe how bee populations respond. If bee populations increase during this time, which is the expected outcome, then it would be abundantly clear that the scientific community is correct in its assessments of the situation. In the U.K., the widespread negative effects of neonicotinoid use are already being felt, as many crops now have to be hand-pollinated as a result of bee losses. According to data compiled by scientists at Reading University, the population of honey bees kept in managed hives in the U.K. has dropped by half, as have solitary bees. And wild honey bees are virtually extinct, according to the figures. "Unless we halt the decline in British bees our farmers will have to rely on hand-pollination, sending food prices rocketing," said Paul de Zylva, nature campaigner at Friends of the Earth (FoE), a group advocating for the removal of neonicotinoids from agricultural use (http://www.foe.co.uk/what_we_do/the_bee_cause_35033.html). The U.S.-based advocacy group Beyond Pesticides and dozens of commercial beekeepers and honey producers have also filed a legal petition demanding that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) take action to ban clothianidin, another neonicotinoid linked to killing bees (http://www.beyondpesticides.org/dailynewsblog/?p=6919). Maher: Republicans have declared war on common sense | The Raw Story:
On Friday night’s edition of “Real Time with Bill Maher,” host Bill Maher took aim at the tendency of conservatives to reflexively object to anything that liberals advocate, no matter how middle of the road or sensible those positions may be. Take for example, he said, “pink slime,” the gunk made from the slurry off the slaughterhouse floor and ammonia gas that’s in the majority of ground beef in this country. Americans found out about the stuff and naturally recoiled, until conservatives realized that liberals were against it and then three Republican governors rushed to factories that make pink slime to publicly eat burgers containing the additive. He also touched upon First Lady Michelle Obama’s healthy eating initiative and her efforts to try and curb the soaring rates of childhood obesity in this country. Most Republicans, he said, upon hearing the Michelle Obama suggests they eat more vegetables and take a walk, will promptly lock themselves in the garage with the car running and “eat bacon grease out of a coffee can.”
“I think the Republican party is at war with common sense,” he said, “I think Republicans live in a world now where whatever a liberal says, no matter how sensible, is automatically evil, wrong, and needs to be fought with the fervor of a starving raccoon on crystal meth.”

SUNDAY SCHOOL VIDEO
I watch this video on You Tube every now and then... It kinda sums up what I think of that cult Scientology.
And speaking of Cults, if any of you sick bastards out there want to know how to start a evil, mind-controlling cult, I found this VIDEO just for you.
And those of you who want to avoid falling under the influence of such an organization should watch it too.

HAPPY EARTH DAY!!!
Every day is Earth day! But the official Earth Day is today -- a great opportunity to celebrate this amazing planet and renew our commitments to promoting peace andsustainability for generations to come. For 31 years, millions of people from around the world have celebrated our precious and sacred planet, Earth, on this day. Today, Let us celebrate our Earth. By doing so we are all coming together as One to help make the positive changes to make our world happier, safer and more sustainable for ourselves, our children and our children's children.
You can plant a tree, write your legislator, email corporations telling them to do more for our environment in reducing harmful emissions, write blogs or whatever. Allow your passions to guide you. Commit to DOING something, no matter how big or small, every single day.
Let this year's Earth Day be a starting point for growing the environmental movement and will put forth a bold declaration demanding immediate action to secure Renewable Energy for All and a sustainable future for our planet. The movement will be comprised of individuals of every age from all ends of the Earth, and will call upon local, national, and international leaders to put an end to fossil fuel subsidies, embrace renewable energy technology, improve energy efficiency, and make energy universally accessible.
Treat the earth well. It was not given to you by your parents, it was loaned to you by your children. We do not inherit the Earth from our Ancestors, we borrow it from our Children. - Native American traditional saying
Be gentle with the earth. - Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama
To cherish what remains of the Earth and to foster its renewal is our only legitimate hope of survival. - Wendell Berry
If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things in nature have a message you understand, Rejoice, for your soul is alive. - Eleanora Duse
The Earth STILL needs our help and we are wise to become involved in any way we can so we get our Earth back in healthy order. Together is the way we will get our planet back on track.
Divine spirit, the light of God, is coming and going, manifesting and unmanifesting. This is the rhythm of life, the verse of love.

HAPPY EASTER!!!
O.K., I know I asked this question last year, but I have to ask it again... What is the Easter bunny doing the other 364 days of the year?
The great gift of Easter is hope - Christian hope which makes us have that confidence in God, in his ultimate triumph, and in his goodness and love, which nothing can shake. - Basil C. Hume

That was one HELL of a Tuesday Night!!!
WASSUP, PEOPLE!!!
As you may know, I went to Danni El's Going Away Jam last Tuesday night. And, I had a blast!!!
But it didn't start out that way... In fact, it was a little boring. I got out there a little early, so I had to kill some time... so I walked around the venice boardwalk, went up to the 3rd street promenade in Santa Monica, walked around Main St. for a little bit, and had a light (yet heavenly) dinner at Vardo and then, I walked up to O'brien's. And that is when the fun began...
Well, not yet. When I got to O'brien's and went to the back where the stage was at, I saw Big Joe Hurt, and his lovely wife, and greeted them. But, nobody else was there. about a minute later, Danni El showed up, but she had a problem. She accidentaly locked her car with her keys, along with her guitar and all her stuff inside. However, one quick call to A&A from Joe's wife, and that problem was solved in a few minutes. Anyway, I Gave Danni some cookies, helped her with her guitar, and went back inside. And then the fun started...
As a side note, I also met this great poet named Chuck Williams, whom I had the pleasure of watching perform with Danni at the Down n Out bar in Downtown Los Angeles, and later that night he performed that same song with Danni... Anyway, On Thursdays, he hosts an Poetry/Spoken Word Open Mic called "Freedom of Speech Thursdays" at the "Sabor y Cultura" cafe in Hollywood. It's free, if anybody out there likes to listen to poetry, and you happen to be in the area, you should definetly check it out.
O.K., back to the jam...
First up was Alejandro Wood, who sang a couple of great songs, although his set was a little short. But it was during this time that I met Jessica Bell, another of the amazing performers who played that night. In fact, I met a lot of performers that night. Some of them I knew, like Nick Ware, Geoffery Martin and Lacey Cowden, and some I didn't know like this amazing guittarist named Mylo, and interesting enough, a guy named Ashton. And there was this guy, I think his name was andrew, who had this small guitar. I didn't get to hear him play, though. Anyway, after Alejandro, Big Joe Hurt came up with his band, and rocked the house.
Now mind you, I want you to know that I made videos and pictures of everybody who came up to perform, with the intention of putting them up on this post. But, I'm not going to do that. And I'm not going to do that for a simple reason. That reason is, all the videos and pictures I took are utter crap. My Mother, God rest her soul, used to tell me to never buy the cheapest product, whether it be clothes, electronics, food, etc., because that product will ALWAYS turn out to be a piece of shit. Well, the ONE TIME I didn't listen to her, and she turns out to be right.
Anyway, After Joe, a couple of other people performed, I think Lacey and Geoffery did a song, and Mylo did a few solos on the guitar... and then came the big finale: Jessica Bell, and Danni El. But before Danni went on, I gave her a little Tiger's Eye stone. It's believed to give it's wearer protection. And I figured, if Danni was going to be traveling over 2 continents, she's going to need all the protection she can get. Anyway, she liked it.
Now, on to the finale. Danni and Jessica came onstage with a full band of thier friends, and proceeded to rock the house for about an hour with some awesome tunes... Danni did a few songs, and Jessica did a few songs, back and forth. And the amazing thing was, I think it was the very first time Danni, or everybody else played together, but they were jamming up there like they were all playing together for years.
Well, at least I think so.
But, then came the sad part. Danni and Jessica ended their set, which signaled an end to the jam. And my bus was coming, and as much as I like Venice and Santa Monica, there was NO FUCKING WAY I was going to get stuck out there all night. So, after saying good night to Danni, and promising I'd call her the minute I got home(which I did), I headed home.
All in all, I have to say it turned out to be a magickal night.

Another reason to call Florida, "The Sunshine State"
Hi Everybody.
FLORIDA is a state in the southeastern United States, located on the nation's Atlantic and Gulf coasts. It is bordered to the west by the Gulf of Mexico, to the north by Alabama and Georgia and to the east by the Atlantic Ocean. Florida is the 22nd most extensive, the 4th most populous, and the 8th most densely populated of the 50 United States. The state capital is Tallahassee, its largest city is Jacksonville, and the South Florida metropolitan area is the largest metropolitan area in the southeastern U.S.
When you think of florida, you might think of cities like Miami, Orlando, Panama City, Tampa, Fort lauderdale, Key West, etc.
Or, you might think of attractions and theme parks like Disney World, Universal Orlando, Busch Gardens, Calle Ocho, etc.
Yes, these are great places to visit, and are just a few of the many reasons that florida has a well-deserved nickname of "The Sunshine State".
Well, as good a place florida is, It's about to become a BETTER place to go to. Why do I say this, especially since I've never been there? I say this because in about 2 weeks, this woman is moving over there:
My friends, I present to you, Danni El.
Now if you read this blog before, you will have noticed that I blogged about her before. (In case you don't, click HERE). She's one of those rare people who can light up a room with her smile, and who can actually have a very positive impact on everyone she meets.
Danni El is, in my humble opinion, an angel. An absolute angel.
And, As you can see below, she is an awesome musician:
Anyway, she's going back to florida (which is where she's from) for awhile before going to Peru (where her family's from), and her friends Joe Hurt and Jessica Bell are having a Going Away Jam for Danni El tomorrow night at O'Brien's 2941 Main Street, Santa Monica, CA 90405, Around 9:00 p.m. And (especially since I know which way I'm going this time) I'll be there to wish her well, and dance and sing the night away with all her friends!
Danni, Whether here in Cali, or in Miami, or Lima, Brazil, or wherever you may find yourself, I hope you keep on making beautiful music. And I don't know many of your friends here in Cali, but I do know that I can speak for all of them when I say,
DANNI EL, WE'RE ALL GOING TO MISS YOU!!!
AND DANNI, WE ALL LOVE YOU VERY MUCH.
P.S. I just thought I'd show everybody what kind of sunrise you'll be looking at in a couple of weeks...

Man I can be so stupid sometimes...
Guess what? Last night, I got lost on the way to Skinny's Lounge in NOHO. Before I knew it, I got stuck at the North Hollywood Station, and had to get home before I got stuck out there the whole night.
I admit when I got home last night, and found out I could have WALKED there from the station, I felt as stupid as some of these people in the video below felt. But I guess it's no use crying over spilled milk.

HAPPY MONDAY!!!
If you break an agreement, begin again tomorrow, and again the next day. It will be difficult at first, but each day will become easier and easier, until someday you will discover that you are ruling your life with these Four Agreements. And, you will be surprised at the way your life has been transformed. ~don Miguel Ruiz

HAPPY SUNDAY!!!
"The cells in your body are completely loyal to you; they work for you in harmony. We can even say they pray to you. You are their God. That is absolutely the truth. Now what are you going to do with this knowledge? ~don Miguel Ruiz
