HAPPY SUNDAY!!!

Well, it's officialy SUNDAY, The Last day of the Week! Or, according to some people, the first... Anyway, this Sunday is a special one. Why? Because Today is the "Ring of Fire" Annular Solar Eclipse!

So, What the hell is an annual Solar Eclipse?

An annular solar eclipse happens when the Moon is in the part of its elliptical orbit which is relatively far away from Earth and therefore covers a slightly smaller angle in the sky than the Sun. As is apparent in the attached photo, an annulus (ring) of the Sun's photosphere remains visible, hence the "ring of fire." During today's eclipse, the Moon is at such a distance that it will cover approximately 94% of the Sun.

There have been 27 Solar Eclipses since 001 CE that were conjoined the star Alcyone. This includes partial, annular and total eclipses. Last partial eclipse was 5/21/1993 and before that another partial on 5/19/1985. Preceding that was an annular on 5/20/1966 and then two total eclipses on 5/20/1947 and 5/19/1928.

This link will provide you with multiple ways to view the eclipse online - http://www.skyandtelescope.com/news/home/See-the-Annular-Solar-Eclipse-Online-151887305.html

However, if you want to watch it live, and happen to be in an area where you can, then just Hope for some clear weather, and then just look at the Sun!

[Warning: This should go without saying, but do not stare at the Sun without proper eye protection which, in this case, can be welder's no.14 glass, glasses designed to view the Sun, or a solar filter(s) for your camera, binoculars or telescope].

Anyway, Be safe, and enjoy the show!

Now, let's start this day off with the Gypsy Kings video DJOBI DJOBA.

Imagine how you would treat yourself if love was moving through you all the time. What would you think about yourself? What judgments would you have about yourself if love was moving through you?
