An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Today is dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s Birthday. For those of you who don't know, he was an American clergyman, activist, and prominent leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movement. He is best known for his role in the advancement of civil rights using nonviolent civil disobedience. King has become a national icon in the history of American progressivism.

A Baptist minister, King became a civil rights activist early in his career. He led the 1955 Montgomery Bus Boycott and helped found the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) in 1957, serving as its first president. King's efforts led to the 1963 March on Washington, where King delivered his "I Have a Dream" speech. There, he established his reputation as one of the greatest orators in American history. He also established his reputation as a radical, and became an object of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's COINTELPRO for the rest of his life.

On October 14, 1964, King received the Nobel Peace Prize for combating racial inequality through nonviolence. In the next few years leading up to his death, he expanded his focus to include poverty and the Vietnam War—alienating many of his liberal allies with a 1967 speech titled "Beyond Vietnam". King was planning a national occupation of Washington, D.C., called the Poor People's Campaign. King was assassinated on April 4, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee. He was posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1977 and Congressional Gold Medal in 2004; Martin Luther King, Jr. Day was established as a U.S. federal holiday in 1986. Hundreds of streets in the U.S. and beyond have been renamed in his honor.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Below, I posted his most famous speech, his "I have a dream" speech. It was a 17-minute public speech by Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered on August 28, 1963, in which he called for an end to racism in the United States. The speech, delivered to over 200,000 civil rights supporters from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial during the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, was a defining moment of the American Civil Rights Movement.

Well, Yesterday was an interesting day... I got cockblocked on the Green line in the morning, but that's allright because I met a beautiful soul on the bus to Venice Beach in the afternoon.

And, while I was at the Santa Monica Promenade, I met a really good singer/songwriter named Tahlia Francine. Now this was the first and only time I met her, so I don't know that much abot her. So, I'll let this video I found about her give you an idea about who she is.

The last few days have been really nice... and also really COLD. But hey, it's typical for this time of year, even her in sunny california. Yesterday I went up into downtown L.A. to get some clothes, and had some of the best chinese food in town, and also the cheapest. I wonder if that had anything to do with the taste?

Anyway, I'm going back out there today, this time to Hollywood...

Yesterday, I mentioned that I added a section in the Sidebar called SPECIAL PEOPLE. The first one I added was CARMEN AMARA. Well today I added another person. Her name is TEAL SCOTT.

Teal Scott, The Spiritual Catalyst, is an extrasensory esoteric and the author of the book THE SCULPTOR IN THE SKY. She writes and teaches about spirituality, the meaning of life, and the road to health and happiness. She has a series on You Tube called ASK TEAL, where she answers questions submitted by her viewers. In this series, Teal talks about many topics. Every Saturday, I've been posting videos form this series, because I believe everyone can greatly benefit from WHAT SHE TEACHES through this series. Introduction and Background

Teal was born in Santa Fe New Mexico in the year 1984.

In the first years of her life, it became apparent that she had been born with extrasensory abilities. Among these abilities she was born with were clairvoyance, clairsentience, clairaudience, the ability to manipulate electromagnetic fields and the ability to communicate with thought forms. As she grew, unlike many children born with extrasensory abilities, her gifts did not go away.

Her parents, who were both Wilderness Rangers, later accepted a job in the Wasatch-Cache National Forest of Utah, not knowing at the time about the intensely religious climate of the location. Word of her abilities got out very quickly and were not only frowned upon but feared by many in the religious community. It was because of Teal's extrasensory abilities that she was inducted as a child (unbeknownst to her parents) into a local cult by a family acquaintance, where she was routinely ritualistically tortured and programmed for a period of thirteen years.

She managed to escape from the cult when she was 19 years old. Since then, Teal has become a "spiritual catalyst" both accepting and utilizing her abilities to remind people of the united, energetic nature of this universe and to teach people how to find bliss in the midst of even the most extreme circumstances.

Additional Details

Teal is part of the first, 1980’s wave of Indigo Children.

From a young age, Teal began professing to have not only chosen to be a part of this physical life, but to have been sent as a “Eucharist” into this physical life by the non physical grouping of energy called “Adonai”. “Adonai” is a non physical group whose intention is the imparting of oneness.

Teal is recognized as a Spiritual Leader of the New Age.

As a very small child, Teal began writing an unknown language.

Teal has been a practitioner of energy medicine for many years.

Teal studied Qigong energy healing in China.

On numerous occasions Teal has performed what some have regarded as miraculous healings.

Despite attention for her extraordinary abilities, Teal is firm in her belief that psychic abilities are not a power. They are inherent to everyone, and one gains access to the utilization of them through the raising of their own consciousness.

Despite the severity of her childhood abuse as well as it having resulted in a state investigated case; Teal does not support the current justice system. She often publicly speaks about the fact that you can not “punish someone into health”.

During the summers, Teal and her brother Sky were raised in a two room guard station cabin in the wilderness, with no electricity, and no indoor plumbing.

Teal graduated from high school at 16 with scholarship offerings.

For a time, in an effort to try to “stay in her body” Teal became a competitive telemark ski racer as well as a competitive long track speed skater.

As a teen, Teal supported herself by becoming a professional model. She was scouted in a horse supply
store by a model’s agent at the age of twelve which is what put the idea into her head.

Despite being an avid food lover and cook, Teal must watch her diet incredibly closely so as to not spontaneously astral project or channel. She does not drink alcohol or consume refined sugars, or flours. She is also a lifelong Vegan.

Teal’s long term goals include (but are not limited to):

Providing an alternative to the current jail system

Owning integrative medicine facilities, where a patient’s disease is approached from multiple modalities of thought at the same time

Setting up affordable, enjoyable "end of life centers" that assist the elderly with their peaceful, supported, holistic, non resistant transition into death

Creating an alternative system to “pounds” for animal rescue and rehabilitation

Providing an alternative to the current education system, which will be available to people from all income brackets

Funding workshop tours that are evolutionary in their approach to alternative parenting methods, especially in low income areas where people would otherwise have no access to learning new ways of parenting

Introducing programs and possibly facilities which provide affordable, healthy food to schools, jails, food banks and welfare programs

Influencing a change in global consciousness

Okay, I've been sitting on this for a while, but now, I want to talk about my New Year's Resolution. And this year, I only have one.

Basically, my New Year's resolution is that I'm FINALLY starting to CONSCIOUSLY create the reality I want to create, a reality of happiness, joy, and abundance.
This past year, I've come to realize this one truth:

So, since I'm creating my reality, then I'm gonna do things that bring the reality I want for myself into my life. And that's what I'm doing RIGHT NOW, starting with this blog.

If you follow my blog, you might have noticed that I made a few changes to the blog. I'm gonna make some more in the near future, but there's one change I already made that I want to talk about now.

There's a new section in the sidebar called Special People where I'm gonna post links to people, some alive, some dead, who I believe are special individuals, the type of people I want to be like.

The shift that has been anticipated for so long is all about light and love replacing fear and darkness. Instead of anticipating terrifying disturbances instead prepare yourself to simply bring in more light to the world. Focus on being love and sharing that love essence with everyone you meet. The new era we are helping to usher in is simply one where love, compassion and cooperation replace fear, competition and individualism. The unity of all that you have been experiencing will soon become the normal way of being.

The nature of creation as light and energy will soon be understood by everyone. The interconnectedness of each individual and their light bodies is soon to be accepted as a fact. This will create a new understanding of what it means to be a human and what the true purpose of the human body is. The interconnectedness of all in the energy of light will enable us to rise up and recognize the true abundance that is available to everyone on this planet. Rejoice in this shift. Recognize your ability to connect constantly with this field of energy, the essence of all creation. Simply be the love that is already in your heart.

Anyway, I want to show you this video he made, in which he talks about some of his learning experiences, and how some of the things he learned in the beginning he realyy didn't like and appreciate until later in his training.

I think this is a very important lesson because So many people today see martial arts as a merchandise, and jump from one style to another, and then another, without going too deeply into any of them, trying to find "the best style." Personally, I think that's a recipie for failure for many reasons(which I'm not gonna go into right now). I believe that, regardless of the style you're practicing, if you learn that style properly, go deeply into it, and do it for a long period of time, you'll be fine :)

Now I want to talk about a Martial Art I want to learn more about. The style is called Pencak Silat Inti Ombak. I posted about this martial art style BEFORE, but I didn't go much into detail about it.

Pencak Silat Inti Ombak is a style of silat that was created by Guru Daniel Prasetya. I'll let the video below explain a little about who he is, and the silat style he founded.

What does it mean to be poor in America?

I saw this great article posted by The Pragmatic Progressive Page on facebook, and I thought I'd post it here for you guys.

Many people don't really understand what it means to be poor in America. Hell, it's even confusing to the poor, sometimes. It's not just people who go to bed hungry or who have no home, poor takes on a whole different meaning now with the minimum wage so low and so many people trying to survive on government and/or unemployment benefits or jobs that just don't pay what they should and the cost of living so high.

It is things like not going to the dentist, when you know something's wrong, and just hoping it will go away. It's about feeding your dog part of what you had for dinner, because dog food is too expensive. It's about pushing your car way past it's oil change date, knowing that even though you can't afford the oil change, the damage to your car might be extensively worse. It's about not being able to afford to get a haircut. It's about the actual worry - and yes, this is a real worry for many - that if you DO get that job, what are you supposed to wear, being that you don't really have any nice clothes, nice shoes or a tie...nor can you afford them right now.

Being poor is about having an old, yet working laptop, but having to sit in your car, outside a McDonald's, to use their free wi-fi. It's about trying to fit as many errands into one trip across town, because that empty-gauge has been on for a few-too-many days. It's about no longer being able to have a car, or fix that car or even put gas in it if it's still running.

It's about making the decision to buy your kids hamburgers and fries, because they have a dollar menu, and that's a lot cheaper than what they have at the store. It's about trying to find that place between not-too-high an electric or gas bill - and freezing to death in your house. It's about knowing that 90% of this world is worse off than you, lives with less than you and would kill for the things you have - so you tell yourself that even during these times of less, you still should be grateful for all you have - but not always feeling very grateful for the way you feel inside from day to day.

Why am I posting this? Because I think the answers can be simple. My friend works at a Veterinarian and says once in a while someone will come in, give them a couple of hundred dollars and say 'this is for someone who may need help with a pet, but can't afford it'. It's called Pay if Forward. Many of our homeless shelters, churches, etc know who needs help in your town. It's not always about giving them used coats or canned goods, sometimes things like a Gift Certificate for a haircut, an oil change, something other than food at the grocery store, some gas...those are the things that seep away from those who are nickle-and-dime-ing their way through life right now.

Poverty, in this country, isn't just about what we don't have on a material level - it's about the little things, every day, that slowly chip away at our self-esteem. Most people on food stamps and on some form of welfare DO work a job, many of them work more than one job, and the American Dream just seems to keep moving further and further away.

I don't know. Maybe it's time we stopped looking for the government or our local officials or churches to make a difference in our society. Maybe it's up to us to really step up and ask, what can I do? Even if it's something small, like buying someone lunch or a ticket to a movie...what good would that do? From someone who has been in that place of want, I can tell you right now...it actually can change the world for the better - even if it's only for that one meal or that one movie, and that can make all the difference. - vince

In this episode of ask Teal, the subject addressed is Out Of Body Experience. She explains that conscious control of OBE is an invaluable tool for one to use to expand awareness and knowledge as well as increase one's own personal frequency. All matter in this physical plane we call "reality", is Energy. It is only the density of the vibration of physical reality that obscures this from our understanding. All energy in this universe is molded and directed by thought. Thought and focus of thought is not only what is creating the different dimensions; it is also your vehicle of travel in the multiple dimensions. All kinds of factors influence your ability to have an out of body experience. Such as fears, intentions, self concepts, your beliefs about out of body experience, your religious beliefs, and your expectations. Your firm intention, your commitment, your openness and practice coupled with shifting your thoughts to reflect the most beneficial beliefs is really the key to doing this successfully. In this episode, Teal explains how one can go about inducing an out of body experience by utilizing the different stages of OBE which are, the vibrational stage, the separation stage, the exploration stage and the re-entry stage. She then explains that there is no limit to what you can experience and learn while one is out of body, no longer restricted by the perception of space and time and physicality.

Guess what? I learned that this week, Congress has basically allowed the VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN ACT (VAWA) to die.

Now the article above blames the republican leadership of the house of representatives, but I blame ALL of congress. Their failure to reauthorize VAWA is a HUGE roadblock to the goal of ending violence against women in this society.

It means that now millions of women and men will be left without access to some of the critical resources and protections contained in VAWA reauthorization. That is something I find to be inexcusable, and TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.

As a man, I can't say that I an expert on women, or women's issues. But I do know that What happened this week is a slap in the face for ALL women, particularly the women I care most about in my life, namely my sister, my nieces, my cousins, my aunties, and my mother and grandmother, god rest their souls.

Now I can tell you all how I love women, how women are the backbone of EVERY society, and should be protected, not abused, etc... but I'm not gonna do all that. Because I can type about this topic all day long... but I don't have to LIVE it. What I am gonna do, is post this video 'BREAK THE CHAIN" below, to show you how women THEMSELVES feel about this issue, in a really cool music video.

2013: A TERRIFYING VISION OF AMERICA

The Coming Terror and A Power to Change the World

The year 2013 is going to bring unprecedented social anarchy, riots, food shortages, more mass shootings, political upheaval, economic crisis and a radical transformation of our nation. As the late Dr. Francis Schaeffer said, about thirty years ago, “An authoritarian government either from the right or left will rise to manage the chaos.”

Most of what we are seeing now fits the precise historical patterns of what happen in places like Nazi Germany, where Adolph Hitler murdered over seven million people in concentration camps. The German Jews, as well as the Christians were in such a state of psychological denial, that they repeatedly said, “It can’t happen here.” When they walking into the gas chambers, they insisted they were just getting a shower.

What is it that prevents people from seeing the obvious either on a personal level or a national level? There are a number of factors in this psychological process. First, self-deception and cognitive dissonance. A mother cannot bear the thought of her little daughter being molested by her husband, so she pretends not to notice the evidence. Finally she disassociates from the reality.
On a national level, many times the people, especially the youth, have been deliberately dumbed down through social engineering. They simply do not understand the historical patterns and how they repeat themselves. In addition, through social engineering they have been brainwashed into accepting a system of reality, rather than reality itself.

Finally, the science of mass mind control is used to program the people, through the media, entertainment, legal drugs, pornography, education and entertainment. Aldous Huxley, H.G.Wells and Thomas Pynchon and others wrote about this in their books like, The Shape of Things to Come, Brave New World, and Gravity’s Rainbow. The science of mass mind control came from Nimrod and the ancient occult religions of Babylon. They operated both spiritually and scientifically. Today scientific and spiritual mind control are so advanced that the average person does not know that they exist, let alone how advanced they have become. In America today the vast percentage of the population is under scientific mind control, where they have been programmed and live in a trance state. This is one of the primary reasons that they cannot see the obvious; they have been scientifically brainwashed. In addition to that, they live in denial and cognitive dissonance.

A key element in the science of occult-based mind control (all mind control is occult-based) is trauma-based programming. The mind is controlled through a series of traumatic shocks viewed on television or the Internet, experienced in the sociological environment, or through highly advanced technologies like EMF waves, subliminal programming, silent sound, microchip implants, drugs and mass occult rituals along with occult symbolism. Recent examples of this would be the Olympic Ceremony in Great Britain, which enacted a Satanic ritual, disguised as entertainment, with blatant Luciferian symbols that go back to Babylon. A large percentage of rock’n’roll concerts and performers perform occult rituals along with mind control. The Illuminati symbolism is blatant if you understand the meaning of the symbols.

Modern rock’n’roll concerts are simply mass occult worship. The ancient occult worship of occult gods like Molech consisted of the use of mind-altering drugs, hypnotic rhythms in the music, and sexual immorality, which were designed to summon their gods or various entities. Everything we just discussed not only programs people through occult-based programming, but acts as a powerful mechanism for mass mind control. Since the fundamental consciousness of people has been altered, they live in hypnotic and trance states, doing what they have been conditioned to do.

In addition, all of this produces spiritual deception through false messiahs and false teachers, which the Apostle Paul warned about when he referred to the Great Delusion and the Apostasy in the last days. According to the Biblical view, the world is quickly heading towards a one world government, a one world economic system, and a one world religion that is headed up by two beasts, the Antichrist and the False Prophet.

It is not an accident that Sir Francis Bacon, a Rosicrucian, planned for America to be the center of a new world order and a “New Atlantis” before America was settled. The Rosicrucian occult movement has its roots in the occult religions of ancient Babylon. The Rosicrucians became the Illuminati and it is the Illuminati who are the Satanic elite who rule the world. As I have said in numerous articles, the Illuminati pyramid on the back of the U.S. dollar is a template or occult blueprint for what is coming soon. The eagle which is really the occult bird, the Phoenix, is a symbol of the new world order rising from the ashes of chaos. The Illuminati slogan is, “Order Out of Chaos.” The rock’n’roll band, Led Zepellin, sang their famous lyrics, “Is the new world rising, from the shambles of the old?”

All of the chaos we see in our society is essentially manufactured. It is designed to lead us into the new world order. The dollar is deliberately being devalued in order to bring in a new world currency called the “Phoenix.” The occult-based elite hope to do this by 2018.

So the question is after reading this, “What can you do about it?” The person under mind control automatically says, “nothing.” But the spirit that God placed in man and the Spirit of God itself says “All things are possible.” God knew before the beginning of time about the chaos that is happening now. He downloaded into the human consciousness everything that is needed to overcome the spiritual darkness. God knew before the beginning of time that you would be here for such a time as this.

That means you came into this world to fulfill a purpose and that purpose is not to be a slave in the occult-pyramid system. In addition you must know that He has given you the opportunity to use His power to overcome evil. When that power is accessed by belief you then become a carrier of an energy force that is more powerful than anything in the Universe. What is called the First Great Awakening, tapped into that power and transformed America at its birth.

A Third Great Awakening is a release of cosmic energy from another dimension where the Personal God rules. Through belief and turning to Him as the Source, men and women can call down supernatural power from this dimension or invisible realm. In our nation today, it is scientifically possible to release what is called the dunamis, from which we get our word dynamite. When this all-powerful explosive force is released in the invisible realm, it sends a shockwave of power so strong, that entities called the kosmokratos are overwhelmed. Therefore it is possible to enter 2013, not as a victim, but as a conqueror. The choice is yours.

Like I said, the article above describes what CAN happen... But I'm a bit more optimistic. I believe that this year, things WILL change for the better. In fact, I think that things are already are.

Like I said, I'm all about the future, not dwelling on the past, no matter how recent. So...

May you all have an excellent year in 2013. I hope you succeed in all your goals, I hope you increase your health and wellness. And I sicerely hope all of you out there find more peace and abundance!!!

Today is the 7th and the last day of Kwanzaa.

For those who don't know what kwanzaa is, it was established in 1966 by Ron Karenga.

Kwanzaa aims to reconnect black Americans to their African roots and recognize their struggles as a people by building community. It is observed from Dec. 26 to Jan. 1 annually.

Derived from the Swahili term, “matunda ya kwanza,” which means “first-fruits,” Kwanzaa is based on African harvest celebrations such as the seven-day Umkhost of Zululand. Kwanzaa was created out of the philosophy of Kawaida, which is a cultural nationalist philosophy that argues that the key challenge in black people’s lives is the challenge of culture, and that what Africans must do is to discover and bring forth the best of their culture, both ancient and current, and use it as a foundation to bring into being models of human excellence and possibilities to enrich and expand our lives.”

Just as many African harvest celebrations run for seven days, Kwanzaa has seven principles known as the Nguzo Saba. They are: umoja (unity); kujichagulia (self-determina tion); ujima (collective work and responsibility) ; ujamaa (cooperative economics); nia (purpose); kuumba (creativity); and imani (faith). During Kwanzaa celebrations,a mkeka (straw mat) rests ona table covered by kente cloth, or another African fabric. On top of the mkeka sits a kinara (candleholder) in which the mishumaa saba (seven candles) go. The colors of Kwanzaa are black for the people, red for their struggle, and green for the future and hope that comes from their struggle. “The principles of Kwanzaa and the message of Kwanzaa has a universal message for all people of good will. It is rooted in African culture, and we speak as Africans must speak, not just to ourselves,but to the world.

Now to be honest, I've NEVER celebrated kwanzaa in my life, and most black people I know have never celebrated it either, so I'm by no means an expert on Kwanzaa.
