------------MARTIAL ARTS THEATER------------

Yes, the name and the photo IS a work in progress, but this is where I post a video, documentary, or whatever, about the Martial Arts.

In this installment, I want to talk about a very serious subject.

Well actually, I'll let the video below do the talking, but I will say this:

WITH GREAT POWER, COMES GREAT RESPONSIBILITY.

On New Years Eve, something happened that shocked the jiu-jitsu community around the world. A woman was allegedly raped by two Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners in Washington D.C. and the entire incident was caught on camera in an underground parking garage. Even more disheartening, was the fact that the victim was also a jiu-jitsu student, and she trained AT THE SAME SCHOOL AS THE ASSAILANTS! Aside from reminding us how despicable some human beings truly are, this incident raises some very interesting questions about the moral responsibilities of martial arts instructors and their students. In this video Ryron and Rener discuss their thoughts on the incident and explain what martial arts instructors can do to reduce the likelihood that this ever happens again. Share this video with all the martial artists you know, and we just might save a life.

And now, as always, I'm gonna end this post with the most beautiful song in this whole, entire world.

Our image of perfection is the reason why we reject ourselves; it is why we don't accept ourselves the way we are, and why we don't accept others the way they are.
