------------MARTIAL ARTS THEATER------------

Yes, the name and the photo IS a work in progress, but this is where I post a video, documentary, or whatever, about the Martial Arts.

In this installment, I want to talk about a very serious subject.

Well actually, I'll let the video below do the talking, but I will say this:

WITH GREAT POWER, COMES GREAT RESPONSIBILITY.

Published on Jan 18, 2013
On New Years Eve, something happened that shocked the jiu-jitsu community around the world. A woman was allegedly raped by two Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners in Washington D.C. and the entire incident was caught on camera in an underground parking garage. Even more disheartening, was the fact that the victim was also a jiu-jitsu student, and she trained AT THE SAME SCHOOL AS THE ASSAILANTS! Aside from reminding us how despicable some human beings truly are, this incident raises some very interesting questions about the moral responsibilities of martial arts instructors and their students. In this video Ryron and Rener discuss their thoughts on the incident and explain what martial arts instructors can do to reduce the likelihood that this ever happens again. Share this video with all the martial artists you know, and we just might save a life.

HAPPY SUNDAY!!!

Like an Owl, I am Alert, Patient, and Objective.
~Jonathan-Lockwood Huie

HI FAMILY!!!

Well, today is SUNDAY, which means it's time for another SUNDAY SCHOOL VIDEO, where I post a video about ANY religious or spiritual to[pic.

This week, we have another episode of the epic You Tube series, "DISCOVERING RELIGION".

Uploaded on Oct 31, 2011
In part two we examine the claim commonly made by monotheists: If morals are not fixed and absolute, then how can anyone claim someone else's actions are wrong, such as those of Hitler? However, the problem lies with the very question itself. Anyone that believes in moral absolutes is immune from being challenged and will never change their mind about what they believe to be God's will, no matter what.

The only form of morality worth having is that which can be modified as new, factual evidence is discovered. We do not now nor ever will have all the answers, and to assume that our present-day morality is complete and no additional facts may be discovered that could provide greater insight into the nature of well-being is the highest order of arrogance and intellectual dishonesty.

Although it is possible for moral ideals to change, that is not to say Secular Morality does not have any objective truths, which we will thoroughly discussed in future episodes. However, to believe the entire basis of one's morality is predicated upon the ambiguous will of a God will only result in the appearance of hypocrisy on the part of the theist if they are to ever change their minds about they believe to be "God's will". Therefore, theist are forced to rail against any notion that morality does not come from God. It's interesting to note that despite what theists claim about being humble and seeking humility, they are far too proud to ever concede that they could be wrong, and that their understanding of divine morality is built upon superstition rather than facts and evidence.

Heavenletter #4732 Pull Up the Shades of Your Heart, November 8, 2013

God said:
Beloveds, today is the day in front of you, so love it. Set yourself up for a great day! Anticipate it. Welcome it. Treat it with respect. Hail it. Make today a shining day, a golden day.

Why not a holy day today? What not a day today when you listen to the beat of My heart? Why not a day today that awes you, has you dancing with joy, right with Me where I AM right with you?

Why not an uncanny day? Why not today a day that you take on as your emboldened golden partner in evolution? There are many steps of evolution. You will experience many.

Every day can be a heyday. A lot depends upon how you greet the day. You do recognize that you are the host to today? Welcome today whatever today may look like. Give today a comfortable seat in your heart. Nourish it.

Just as a day may start overcast and the sun bursts forth, so can you be part of this day’s blossoming into full sunshine.

Today is a precious day no matter what it looks like or seems to presage. Like an umbrella on a windy rainy day, today can turn inside out and reveal its tender underbelly. In any case, be more concerned with how you treat today rather than how today seems to treat you. You don’t know everything, not by a long shot.

Never were you told to welcome only sunny days that seem to fall onto their knees for you.

You are not an old-time cop who directs traffic, starting and stopping it. In fact, your responsibility to today is to bless it and wave it forward. You harbor today and do not go by its appearance. Today, offer your heart as a haven for everyone you meet.

Meet today with anticipation of My appearing before you today. Look for Me. Listen to My Voice. Encourage today to shine in all its glory. And, if you see today as a dark day, pull up the shades of your heart and welcome it anyway.

Today is a day of your life. A day of your life! It brings you precious cargo. Look for it. Do not look for trouble. Look for sprouts of love to grow. Be you a grower of love. With love burgeoning in your heart, can you be downcast? Love is an inviter. Love nourishes you, your day, everything. You may be disappointed that today isn’t your favorite day. Well, then, let today be water rolling off your back.

Despite the darkness of any one day, the sun is shining just the same. Beloveds, do not close the door on any day. Even in the depths of life lie the heights of life. Be open to today and find the blessings in it. If you can find tragedy, you can also find blessing. You can be sure that no matter how difficult you may see the presentation of today, somewhere within it, sunshine and gold sparkle. This is inevitable.

Even if today seems like the darkest day of your life, it has a gift for you. Today itself is a great gift, and it is a day to strengthen your heart and therefore your awareness, and, therefore, your power. At the very least, you are strength being tempered. Steel is stronger than iron. You are being treated to growth, and grow you will. Consider life as a foundry where you find your mettle. Your mettle is Greatness, beloveds.

You don’t just grow one way. There are many ways to grow. The day is coming when you will rise every day to meet the sun.

HUMANITY'S TEAM

A human being is part of a whole, called by us "universe" - a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest…a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.

Everything in existence is an extension or expression of source energy. Art is essentially an expression. Because all things in existence are expressions, all things in existence are art. As an extension of source, you are imbued with the ability to create. Every being in existence is therefore at their core an artist.
We are all artists. An artist celebrates beauty. An artist recognizes beauty even in things that would be unanimously considered "ugly". An artist can recognize what is poignant about even the most mundane things. Beauty is defined as a characteristic that provides the perceptual experience of pleasure. And we can train ourselves to see beauty in everything. We can view this earth through the eyes of our inner artist. This one of the most essential spiritual practices of all. When we practice seeing the world through the eyes of the inner artist, the entire world transforms itself into a work of art.

MAKE HER VALENTINES UNFORGETTABLE!!

Carol's Crazy Chinese: Valentine's Day (情人節)

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

Where There is Love, Nothing is Missing.
~Jonathan-Lockwood Huie

This is a repost. Well, sort of... Well, today's the big day.

IT'S VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

And once again, I don't have a girlfriend or wife to spend the day with... I know, I'm pathetic... but hey, I'm not that romantic anyway.

But then, neither was Valentine's Day in the beginning, that is, if you believe this article:

VALENTINE'S DAY: IT'S GORY, UNROMANTIC, SECRET HISTORY

But in this day and age Valentine's Day is a day of Love, and Romance. So, let's celebrate it as it is, shall we?

“Only once in your life, I truly believe, you find someone who can completely turn your world around. You tell them things that you’ve never shared with another soul and they absorb everything you say and actually want to hear more. You share hopes for the future, dreams that will never come true, goals that were never achieved and the many disappointments life has thrown at you. When something wonderful happens, you can’t wait to tell them about it, knowing they will share in your excitement. They are not embarrassed to cry with you when you are hurting or laugh with you when you make a fool of yourself.

Never do they hurt your feelings or make you feel like you are not good enough, but rather they build you up and show you the things about yourself that make you special and even beautiful. There is never any pressure, jealousy or competition but only a quiet calmness when they are around. You can be yourself and not worry about what they will think of you because they love you for who you are.

The things that seem insignificant to most people such as a note, song or walk become invaluable treasures kept safe in your heart to cherish forever. Memories of your childhood come back and are so clear and vivid it’s like being young again. Colours seem brighter and more brilliant. Laughter seems part of daily life where before it was infrequent or didn’t exist at all. A phone call or two during the day helps to get you through a long day’s work and always brings a smile to your face.

In their presence, there’s no need for continuous conversation, but you find you’re quite content in just having them nearby. Things that never interested you before become fascinating because you know they are important to this person who is so special to you. You think of this person on every occasion and in everything you do. Simple things bring them to mind like a pale blue sky, gentle wind or even a storm cloud on the horizon.

You open your heart knowing that there’s a chance it may be broken one day and in opening your heart, you experience a love and joy that you never dreamed possible. You find that being vulnerable is the only way to allow your heart to feel true pleasure that’s so real it scares you. You find strength in knowing you have a true friend and possibly a soul mate who will remain loyal to the end. Life seems completely different, exciting and worthwhile. Your only hope and security is in knowing that they are a part of your life.”-Bob Marley
IS THIS LOVE? BY BOB MARLEY

And besides, EVERYBODY needs love in their life, right?

Now like I said, I don't have a girlfriend or wife to spend my valentine's Day with. So, I decided to take the oppurtunity to share with you my love for ALL women. As mothers, women provide the lessons and care that have enabled generations of children to embrace the opportunities of life, and give us the love that comforts and sustains us, and the strength that enables us to the challenges we face. In this day and age, Women thrive in just about every profession, and are Homemakers and Heads of Households. These women are using their talents in every sector of our society, striving to help all people to look forward with hope and faith in the future.

And there are those women who go above and beyond, and use their amazing talents to help change their world around them, despite the HUGE opposition they sometimes face.

Like MOTHER TERESA OF CALCUTTA, who founded the Missionaries of Charity, a Roman Catholic religious congregation, which in 2012 consisted of over 4,500 sisters and is active in 133 countries.

And Like REBECCA LOLOSOLI, who with a dozen Samburu women in northern Kenya, started a community called Umoja Uaso, which has become a safe haven for women escaping physical abuse, and an advocate for women's rights in nearby villages in their community.

And SAMPAT PAL, the leader of a gang of vigilantes called Gulabi or 'Pink', Gang, who are on a mission to ensure that those born into the lowest caste have an education, avoid child marriages, and earn a decent wage in India.

And let's not forget MALALA YOUSAFZAI, Pakistani school pupil and education activist who didn't let getting shot by the Taliban stop her from demanding that all the girls in her community get education.

Or those brave young women from Kenya who dumped thousands of years of tradition on it's head by REFUSING TO BE CIRCUMSIZED.

And this is just a small taste of what women are capable of.

I never had that feeling with someone before. I just hope that when it does happen, I'm ready for it.

Love isn't something you find. Love is something that finds you. - Loretta Young

Like I said, I never had that true love with someone before, but I think i came somewhere close about 3 years ago.

I was walking down Hollywood Blvd. Close to Highland station, when I heard a very beautiful sound. I turned around on my heels, ans I saw THIS WOMAN playing the sweetest music you ever heard.

Her voice was sweet, rich, textured. The song was poetry, original, from the heart. She was reserved, yet passionate at the same time. She was beautiful.

I remember standing there, stunned, literally stunned. It was like walking out from some dark, fetid storm drain and finding yourself in a sunlit meadow full of sweet grass. I had never dreamed that there was so much talent, so much beauty in this world.

I think it was in the last third part of her song that I fell in love... with the song.

And I became a big fan.

So big in fact, that I went home, tracked her down on facebook, You Tube, and Twitter, and took the 23 mile trip to Hollywood & Highland a few times a week, EVERY WEEK for about a month in the hope of hearing her play again.

Now I've been closing all my daily posts with this song, and I'm going to keep doing it.

So, let's end this post with the most beautiful song in the whole world, the song she was playing that day, COLORES, by the amazing DANNI EL.

DANNI EL is an amazing Musician, singer/Songwriter, and an AMAZING PERSON. You can find links to her Facebook, You Tube, and Twitter pages in the sidebar, under the music section.

And if you get an opportunity to go to one of her live shows, I suggest that you take it. You'll be real happy you did.

TO EVERYBODY OUT THERE IN CYBERSPACE,

If you have the eyes of love, you just see love wherever you go. The trees are made with love. The animals are made with love. The water is made with love....When you perceive with love, you become one with the birds, with nature, with a person, with everything.

Heavenletter #4731 Joy Is the Path, November 7, 2013

God said:
There is a difference between having a strong will and being willful. In both cases, you have determination. Willfulness tends to be ego-ness. You want your way. You are determined to have your way. Perhaps you are used to having your way or perhaps you seldom have your way. Either can be your motivation.

When life or someone does not allow you to have your way, then be gracious. This is the meaning of being a good sport. Being gracious isn’t giving up or caving in. It is letting go. You do not lose by letting go. Letting go is the opposite of holding on to that which has perhaps already left your grasp.

It is better to let go of the concept of your way or someone else’s way. You are not conceding defeat. It is not like that at all. Perhaps the one who concedes is the winner.

Let Us think of generosity of spirit rather than concession.

Life itself may not grant you what you desire as yet, and how do you know when to hold on and when to loosen your grip?

Great discoveries have been made by those who persisted. Is persisting the same as holding on? When you find joy in pursuing, let Us call that persistence. Joy and success are not necessarily the same. Let Us consider joy the path and success an outcome. You do have to have joy. You do not have to have the outcome you desire.

The thing is to not hold on because you are determined to hold on for the sake of holding on. You may set out to prove a scientific fact. That is one thing, yet you don’t have to hold on or hold out to prove you deserve to have your way.

You may well not know what is the way to go. You may desire someone to continue to love you. Your desire is not to override another’s desire. You may have strong desire to be close to another, and you do not have that right. In this case, think of letting go as allowing another to make his or her own choices. You do not have the right to make choices for anyone but yourself. It is not for you to take prisoners now, is it? Force is not desirable.

Let go of that which you have no business to clutch in the first place. You do not rope in others. You are free to let go, and others are free to go where they will. And, if another wants to encroach on you. you also are free to not be encroached on.

You have every right to have your desires, and everyone has every right to be free to follow his or her own desires.

You are learning generosity of spirit. What else is there to learn in life? Call it love or call it whatever you will, love is generosity of spirit. It is giving others their own space. Ah, yes, space does not exist, and yet you must give it. You must give everyone his own breathing room. Hold no captives. Love means giving freedom. Love does not mean holding on or clasping or grasping or bending another’s will to your own.

Letting go is growing. Letting go is freeing. Yes, sometimes you have growing pains, yet you are here on Earth to grow. Do not make a fist in order to hold tightly. All on Earth have to dance to their own tune even when it does not coincide with yours.

The sun shines as it shines. The sun may not shine on a day when you want it to. You cannot really demand of the sun. Who are you to make demands of the sun? The sun is free to shine on you. Do you really want the sun to be at your command?

You do not hold sway over another human being either.

Give yourself the freedom to be free and to free all others. This is great progress, and, one way or another, you will choose freedom for yourself and for others. Do I not give you free will?

----------THE MUSIC CORNER----------

Well, TODAY'S THE DAY!!!!!! Today is the anniversary of the day The Fab Four first performed on the Ed Sullivan Show, so this entire weekend, I'm celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Beatles invasion of America.

Here's a video of all 3 of their appearances on the Ed Sullivan show. I hope you enjoy it.

Published on Jan 23, 2014
The Beatles appeared on three consecutive Sundays in February 1964 to great anticipation and fanfare as "I Want to Hold Your Hand" had swiftly risen to No. 1 in the charts. Their first appearance on February 9 is considered a milestone in American pop culture and the beginning of the British Invasion in music. The broadcast drew an estimated 73 million viewers, at the time a record for US television. The Beatles followed Ed's show opening intro, performing "All My Loving"; "Till There Was You", which featured the names of the group members superimposed on closeup shots, including the famous "Sorry girls, he's married" caption on John Lennon; and "She Loves You". The act that followed Beatles in the broadcast was pre-recorded, rather than having someone perform live on stage amidst the pandemonium that occurred in the studio after the Beatles performed their first songs. The group returned later in the program to perform "I Saw Her Standing There" and "I Want to Hold Your Hand."
The following week's show was broadcast from Miami Beach where Muhammad Ali (then Cassius Clay) was in training for his first title bout with Sonny Liston. The occasion was used by both camps for publicity. On the evening of the television show (February 16) a crush of people nearly prevented the band from making it onstage. A wedge of policemen were needed and the band began playing "She Loves You" only seconds after reaching their instruments. They continued with "This Boy", and "All My Loving" and returned later to close the show with "I Saw Her Standing There", "From Me to You" and "I Want to Hold Your Hand."
They were shown on tape February 23 (this appearance had been taped earlier in the day on February 9 before their first live appearance). They followed Ed's intro with "Twist and Shout" and "Please Please Me" and closed the show once again with "I Want to Hold Your Hand."
The Beatles appeared live for the final time on August 14, 1965. The show was broadcast September 12, 1965 and earned Sullivan a 60 percent share of the nighttime audience for one of the appearances. This time they followed three acts before coming out to perform "I Feel Fine", "I'm Down", and "Act Naturally" and then closed the show with "Ticket to Ride", "Yesterday", and "Help!." Although this was their final live appearance on the show, the group would for several years provide filmed promotional clips of songs to air exclusively on Sullivan's program such as the 1966 and 1967 clips of "Paperback Writer", "Rain", "Penny Lane", and "Strawberry Fields Forever". Although the appearances by The Beatles, Elvis and The Supremes are considered the most famous rock and roll performances on Ed Sullivan, several months before Elvis debuted, Sullivan invited Bill Haley & His Comets to perform their then-current hit "Rock Around the Clock" in early August 1955. This was later recognized by CBS and others (including music historian Jim Dawson in his book on "Rock Around the Clock") as the first performance of a rock and roll song on a national television program.

HUMANITY'S TEAM

“God, may I follow Your Will all the days of my life. May I remember what is Your Will for me, and Your Will for all. I know Your Will is to uplift and not to put anyone down. This I will remember.”

“From now on I will not join in conversations that try to remodel another person. From now on, I will not make remarks I would never make in another’s hearing. Why would I make such remarks at all? To do that is beyond judging. It is condemning. I think twice from now on and pay attention to what I do and what I say, and I remember Your Will that is greater than mine. I shall adapt to Your Will, God.”

“I care about other people’s hearts, and I refuse to damage anyone’s heart. I know better, and I shall do better.”

“Even as I am by myself, I want to honor You, God, and, so, with Your help, I will never again think ill of anyone, for all are just like me, wanting to do their best, wanting to be equal, and not wanting to do harm on any level, not in deed and not in thought. From now on, I speak well of others, and, God willing, I think well of others. This is how I can think well of myself, not by putting someone else down or in putting anyone, as I may deem it, in their place. Anyone’s place is beside me and not to be set apart from me or from You. This is Your Will, am I right, God?”

“You want us to be sisters and brothers to one another. Because Your Heart is in mine, my heart is big enough to encompass all and to encompass my responsibility to You and to all.”

It is important to note that no one on earth is entirely an introvert or entirely an extrovert. To be entirely one way or the other would mean a person was unable to function in the world. Both would essentially be institutionalized. So we are looking more at dominant tendencies when we are observing this quality within a personality structure. We came to this dimension to interact with the physical dimension (an extroverted trait), because this dimension is a learning hologram. We chose to do so in order to come to greater levels of self-awareness (an introverted trait). This means, both extroversion and introversion are an essential part of learning. An imbalance to one side or the other, suggests that a person has developed resistance to part of this equation. One of the most crucial parts of living an "in alignment" life is to not forgo the opportunity to grow by justifying your behavior one way or another, but by instead looking for the shadows that may be causing your tendency towards one extreme or the other. In this episode Teal explains the difference between extroverts and introverts and she explains that Extroversion and Introversion are not fixed personality traits.

Published on Nov 6, 2013
Abbey Road is the 11th studio album released by the English rock band the Beatles. It is their last recorded album, although Let It Be was the last album released before the band's dissolution in 1970. Work on Abbey Road began in April 1969, and the album was released on 26 September 1969 in the United Kingdom, and 1 October 1969 in the United States. The album was released amid tensions within the band. Although it was a commercial success, it received mixed reviews from music critics who found its music inauthentic and criticized the production's artificial effects. Since its initial reception, the album has been viewed by many critics as the Beatles' greatest work and is ranked by several publications as one of the greatest albums of all time. Abbey Road remains their best-selling album.

HI FAMILY!!! Now, for my SUNDAY SCHOOL VIDEO, we have for you part 1 of our 22nd installment of the epic series, "DISCOVERING RELIGION".

I hope you enjoy it.

Uploaded on Nov 1, 2011
The twenty-second installment of my original series, "Discovering Religion". In this two part episode I examine the concept of moral absolutes and ultimately where our sense of right and wrong is derived. To illustrate this concept, I pose two question to theists:

"Why is adultery immoral?" and "Would it be moral to kill your child if God command you to?"

If morality is solely derived from God, do theists believe actions are right or wrong merely because God says so? These questions serve to highlight a famous philosophical debate found in the "Dialogs of Plato", known as the Euthyphro Dilemma.

If it is possible to know something is wrong, despite the fact God has commanded it, then where is one's sense of morality truly derived?

* Peace on Earth *

Heavenletter #4730 Life Is Good for You, November 6, 2013

God said:
Worry not. Fear not. Love all that you presently may fear. What makes sense but to come from love? What is there to do but to welcome what comes? Everything comes with its blessings, and, so, when it comes, be hospitable. You are the host, and what transpires in life is the guest, and so you are generous.

In terms of people, you well understand by now that appearances aren’t everything. Not at all. You know to look at the light in the eyes of all you meet rather than his clothes.

There is benefit to gain from everything. Even illness, accidents. They make you stop in your tracks. They make you say, “Whoa. Slow down. Take a look at what’s going on.” There is something to gain and something to learn. In whatever way the course of your life goes, there is a rainbow at the end of it.

This includes death of the body -- and acne. However you may look at what may trouble you, there is another way to look at it.

You may ask: “Even pain, God? I should welcome pain?”

At least, beloveds, make peace with it. There is more to pain than pain. And you are more than your life on Earth.

Let go of trying to find reasons for everything that befalls. That will be an endless pursuit. You will not be able to reconcile it all. Everything that befalls is a great equalizer. Death of the body reaches everyone you know or don’t know. Death doesn’t mean you did something wrong and that someone who continues to live did right. It is a state of life that the body leaves. It comes with the territory. It is an experience like any other, for every experience opens you up to something new, ever onward and upward. Consider yourself a picture of your DNA as you spiral up in perfect form.

Dwell not on the past, whether past life or the past of this life. Life on Earth and so-called death on Earth are both rewards, beloveds. There are no punishments. Life is good for you, and death of the body is also good for you. Someone who is alive is not more worthy than someone who has died. What an opportunity life gives you to let go of appraisals. Appraisal is perhaps a more gentle word for judgment. Ranking anything is judgment, beloveds. Everyone has first place with Me. I see no contradiction, but you do.

You fulfill your life as best you know. You are learning. You are learning to live, and you are learning to let go. You were not born full-grown. All are learners. All are traveling a new path with twists and turns that they walk on as best they can. As illusory time goes on, their best becomes wiser and easier to do. It is only natural. Perhaps not best across the board because there are moments of grace and moments of displeasure, grace becoming greater and displeasure becoming less.

Life is a precious process. Your life is a precious process. And you are precious to Me regardless of wherever you find yourself or lose yourself on the way. You do come to the rainbow.

Life is a continuum. There is no end to it. And life is always, and it never had a beginning. If you are Eternal and Infinite, you always were so just as surely as you will always be, not in your present form and identity, for you always transcend your individual concerns which may be named ego, an aspect of life that you are, as best you can, little by little, letting go of.

MOMENTS IN BLACK HISTORY

Every day this month, we'll be sharing moments in black history. Today, Super Bowl Sunday, we lift up gridiron pioneers, Kenny Washington and Woody Strode, who, in 1946, became the first African American men to play in the modern day NFL. CA natives, they first played along side Jackie Robinson and Ray Bartlett for the UCLA Bruins football team--making up part of a group of historic four black backfield players. (Historic because at that time, only about a dozen black players played in major college football programs throughout the country.)

So This Man's Wife Left Him...

HAPPY SATURDAY!!!

Like a Dolphin, I am Graceful, Powerful, and Compassionate.
~Jonathan-Lockwood Huie

HI FAMILY!!!

Well, it's Febuary 1st, the 1st day of Black History Month!

Black History Month is a special month for the people in my country, the U.S.A., to learn, appreciate and celebrate Black American History. Well, all the Whites, Latinos, Asians, and every other race and ethnicity in this country, anyway.

MY people, we celebrate ALL YEAR LONG.

It's also the month of Valentine's Day in the U.S. of A. Have any of you out there found your soulmate yet? I wish I have...

but I'm not gonna worry about something I don't have. No, I'm gonna start counting my blessings, and enjoy what I DO have, starting today.

HUMANITY'S TEAM

A Vision for Joy

I see a world where Joy abounds for everyone. Fully present in our physical forms, we rejoice in this new age of celebration.

No longer slaves to the manipulative control paradigm of the past, the time for Joy has returned. Play is honored as a natural expression of our very being, and with childlike joy we lovingly rejoice and explore. We delight in simple pleasures and the wonders of our world. We engage in community and conversation and connecting with each other. The fun of living in this third dimensional world has been restored and the Universe constantly amuses us. Laughter is particularly revered and we hear the joyful noise wherever we go.

Open and connected to Higher Wisdom, we are inspired, and creativity is fully expressed without bounds. Every moment is embraced in pure delight as we purposefully and passionately honor our earthly journey and adventure.

Well, TODAY IS SATURDAY, which means it's time for another amazing episode of ASK TEAL with Teal Scott.

Teal Scott is an extrasensory, esoteric who writes and teaches about spirituality, the meaning of life, and the road to health and happiness. You can find out more about her at her website: www.thespiritualcatalyst.com

Published on Jan 25, 2014 Ask Teal Website - http://www.askteal.com Pot, otherwise known as cannabis or marijuana, is considered a spiritual medicine and has been used as such since 2000 BC because it is a psychoactive drug. Pot is considered psychoactive because it can alter one's state of consciousness. Altering one's consciousness helps them to break free of illusion and the restriction of limited perception. The number one benefit of cannabis is that it helps people to release resistance. By affecting the brain like it does, it inhibits the brain from focusing on and translating the resistant, stressful thoughts that cause a negative emotional response within the body. This is why it is so effective at reducing stress. And this is also why it is so effective for the use of pain management. Pain is a symptom of resistance. By causing a person to release resistance and "flow downstream with life" a person is free to be who they really are. More of their true essence is present in the absence of resistance and this is why people often undergo such intense spiritual experiences while under the influence of cannabis. But this is also why it is used recreationally. If a person tries to escape their resistance by using a tool like cannabis, they have learned nothing but to be dependent on the tool. They may have increased their awareness of what is beyond this dimension, but they have not learned anything about how to access states of consciousness beyond the 3-D consciousness on their own, without the use of an external substance/tool. In essence, they have become powerlessly dependent. While these medicines are often life changing because they can serve to crack through the illusion of the physical dimension so a person can peer beyond the illusion, they all too often become a person's only way of transitioning their consciousness into a "more spiritual" state. They then become a crutch that disables a person from reaching those states organically. The feeling state created by these medicines becomes an addiction and the more subtle transition of increasing one's vibration and altering one's focus so as to facilitate an organic shift in consciousness, no longed registers as a "special and noteworthy experience" when compared with the intensity of the radical break from reality, caused by the medicines. So often the drug itself becomes the person's only access to spirituality. The drug itself becomes the religion. In this episode, TEAL explains the benefits and drawbacks to using pot in spiritual practice. Kuan Yin's Mantra (c) 2002 Lisa Thiel - used by permission http://www.sacreddream.com

O.K., I just want to give a shoutout to a couple of special ladies, DANNI EL and JESSICA TAHEREH BELL. I've posted a LOT about Danni, but not much about Jessica, and the truth is, I don't know much about her. All I do know is that

A.) She's a beautiful soul,

B.) She loves to surf, (and speaking of surfing, I always wanted to learn how, I'm gonna have to ask her for lessions one day)

C.)She can sing and play the guitar like nobody's buisness.

Anyway, they're both on a journey of discovery, making songs, and showing the world what they can do.

And, I know that we're all gonna love their message. This little song below is a little teaser of what's to come:
