A Love Poem

Somebody shared this short poem on Facebook, and I thought it was one of the most beautiful I ever heard, so I'm posting it here. I hope you like it.

I'm the only one
Who'll walk across the fire for you
I'm the only one
Who'll drown in my desire for you
It's only fear that makes you run
The demons that you're hiding from
When all your promises are gone...im the only one

  1. Yes, that is a beautiful poem.

And, if you don’t mind me saying so, it makes my point.

Aside from life itself, Love is the BEST gift that God our Father and Mother have given to their Children. It is the perfect gift. And it is fear that keeps us from receiving it. And so, the conclusion is inescapable. Fear is imperfection, something we can definitely do without, and it is something that we progressively overcome as we embrace Love.

As the Master said, perfect love casts out all fear.

It is no coincidence that courage is a virtue of the heart, and is so highly prized in human culture, where fear is, more often than not, the norm.

don Miguel Ruiz would define fear as just another "perfect" aspect of man. When all common sense and reason tells us otherwise.
