I choose to create a joyful story in THIS moment.
~Jonathan-Lockwood Huie

HI FAMILY!!! DEAR DIARY:Yep, that's right, I had a HELL of a weekend! It started last Friday, when I got my forklift license in the morning, and celebrated by having lunch in Downtown L.A. And then, that night I went to Long Beach to check out 1st friday in Bixby Knolls!

Here's some of the bands who were playing there that night:

And there was a Capoeira Roda from Grupo Capoeira Cordao de Ouro there:

--------SATURDAY!!!--------

HUMANITY'S TEAM

When you are fully aware that your thoughts and emotional vibrations are adding to the field of the collective consciousness you are in a position to contribute to the greater good and a world that is life sustaining.

When you realize that you have been taught incorrectly in the use of your focused power, you will shift how you hold situations, how you react to events and you will begin to be the solution.

We invite you to see and sense, visualize and call forth a reality that truly supports and maintains an environment that honors all living things. This is your task, this is your service, this is your assignment as the divine conscious being that you are.

On Saturday morning, I went downtown. Here's some pictures of Union station & chinatown:

There was a filipino cultural festival going on in Grand Park last Saturday. I didn't get to stay there too long, so I vowed to go there on Sunday and stay there a while longer...

Well, after that, I took an hour and a half journey from Downtown L.A. to the city of cypress at the edge of Orange County, to go to a special event called COLOUR MY ENERGY!!!

But first, on the way there, I noticed that there was a farmer's market going on Across the street. And Since I LOVE farmer's markets, I had to go across the street and see what's up.

But.. this one was starting to close up, so I didn't stay there that long.

Anyway, Back to COLOUR MY ENERGY...

Guys, meet the host of the night's festivities, Chellina Lightcoach Myers

I met her last May in Balboa Park, Ca. at an event called WORLDFEST. I went there to watch this amazing band called THEKI perform, and Chellina's boyfriend, an amazing poet (oops, I meant Spoken Word Artist) named SEAN HILL, is in the band.

Anyway, here's some photos I took while I was there. I got the names of most of these people, but I am so bad with names, I forgot them before I even got home that night! However, since I heard that this is a monthly event, I'll be sure to remember your names and shout you out next time!

Now this lady's name I DO remember.

Guys, Say hello to Jackie Jones.

She's a very nice person that I met there. we chilled and talked, and yes, we both got our dance on...

Now the guy she's dancing with in the last photo is named MICHAEL OCCHINO, and I'll talk (Oops, I mean type) about him in a minute.

And this is a picture I took with her. Just wish I could've done it in better light... well, another time I guess.

There were quite a few wonderful performers playing that day.

And to start it of was the DJ TRILLBO SWAGGINZ, who put on some great tunes, and got us in the right frame of mind.

Here's his picture and Facebbok info...

And, HEEEEERE'S MICHAEL!!!

He was the 1st performer, and he played a couple of really interesting games with some brave volunteers from the audience...

And all day long, he kept up the positive energy by dancing, encouraging others to dance (see picture above), and generally, being an all = around great guy.

And let's not forget JIMMY ROCKINGHORSE!!!

He was the second performer up, and he rocked the mike in a short, but sweet set of rhymes and flow...

Hey, what can I say? I always got love for any artist repping the LBC (For those of you who are not into acronyms, that's the City of Long Beach)

Anyway, here's a small taste of what we got to listen to that afternoon...

And yes, after his performance, he gave me a copy of his CD!

Yep, I must have did something RIGHT in my previous life.

Although... I can't for the life of me imagine what it could've been.

And here's Chellina performing later on in the day...

Now there were a lot more performers, and I have a lot more pictures of them... but the problem is, I don't remember their names. I don't know, next time, I'll bring a notepad or something, and write their names down. So, if you see yourself, or somebody you know on here and I didn't mention you. feel free to shout them out... or yourself...

Oh. and did I tell you that I witnessed my first Mosh Pit?

Anyway, it was one of the best times of my life!

And I mean that, seriously.

The only thing I regret about that event, and I mean the ONLY thing I regret, is that I had to leave early that day.

But I hear that the COLOUR MY ENERGY FEST happens on the 1st Saturday of every month, so I'm going to the next one... And I promise you, I'll be sure to remember ALL your names this time around.

--------SUNDAY!!!--------

O.K. Guys, I'll be happy to tell you guys about my Sunday in a minute. But first, a word from God...

Heavenletter #4747 Where lies Kingdom of Heaven?, November 23, 2013

God said:
How lovely are the hearts that beat on Earth. From My vision, even as I understand your bewilderment and heartaches, all is more than well. All is beautiful. My vision is true, and your vision is stuck. You come from certain premises. From your premises, your vision is true, except your premises, your positions, your patterns of thought are incorrect. Your premises seem obvious to you, yet you are looking at a façade rather than a foundation. The basis you come from seems obvious. This basis holds you up, however, only so long as you have it. If the premises you come from were true, then a baobab tree would bear apples.

From where I sit, from My long view, from My solid awareness of Eternity and Infinity, where can heartache and sorrow exist? Oh, yes, they seem real to you even as they are not real. Only through a keyhole do you see all the matters that trouble you in the land of Earth.

It is possible for you to see from a different angle, only you struggle with that. You can only see so far as you can see. You can desire to see bigger, yet you see as you see. To you, My Children in the world, it’s like you are in New York at the Empire State Building. You read the signs. That’s where you are. You can’t fake that you are in Los Angeles, for you are clearly in New York. You see yourself in the world as on the edge of a precipice, and you hear Me tell you: “Oh, no, you’re really in Heaven.”

What I say to you is true, and yet it is not true for you. When I say you are in Heaven, it’s one thing, for I do see Truth. For you to say it, it is like a fish tale. Until awareness sinks into you, for you to say you are in Heaven, you have just memorized words.

Nevertheless, you have experienced those moments, no matter if only a blink of an eye, no matter how submerged, no matter how vague – you have experienced the Reality of what I say – you have known it for yourself -- and yet you have not been able to hold onto it. Even if you do not recall these flashes now, you do know what I am talking about. You do have a sense of what it is like in Heaven. You will come to a greater sense of it. Already you even sort of understand how that Kingdom of Heaven is not a faraway place but that it abides within you. The Kingdom of Heaven within you does not come and go. It is always. Your awareness comes and goes. The Fullness of Heaven is absolutely permanently within you. Always, even when you can’t really believe it. Heaven is a given. Heaven doesn’t wander off. It is you who wanders.

Concurrent with your living on Earth, you are also living in Heaven. You have a different where-ness than exists in Heaven. You never left Heaven, although it certainly seems like you cannot be there even as the truth is that you cannot leave Heaven. You are not only connected to Heaven, you are also permanently ensconced in Heaven, for you are never ever separated from Me, not for even for one-split second. Heaven isn’t the illusion, beloveds. Earth is! You are caught up in Earth’s spell. It is as if you are glassy-eyed at a Casino. The Casino which you may intellectually know does not offer good odds, you nevertheless, get wrapped up in the illusion, the bright lights, the music, the atmosphere, the strain and the sorrow. In other words, you are caught up in the illusion of the Casino where you gamble on Earth.

On Sunday, I had a beautiful walk uphill to Griffith Park from the Vermont-Sunset Station for my Capoeira Angola lesson.

TheLos Feliz neighborhood is one of the most beautiful I'v ever seen, and if any of you get a chance, you should DEFINETELY check it out...

And then, around 12:00 noon, Capoeira class was in session. Here's my teacher, Charles Williams, playing with my brother student Daniel...

Now, in case you guys didn't know, there are 2 main styles of Capoeira... CAPOEIRA REGIONAL, a style created and popularized in the 1920's and 30's by MESTRE BIMBA, and CAPOEIRA ANGOLA, the ancient style of capoeira that Charles is teaching me, which was popularized by MESTRE PASTINHA.

There are many documentaries about capoeira out there, but this is currently my favorite one, because it's about a student from another martial art's journey into the art of Capoeira. A very similar journey to my own.

If you want to learn Capoeira in a natural setting, with some incredible people, and a lot of love, then come join us every Sunday at Griffith Park from 12 - 3 p.m.

$10 Donation/adults (cash only), under 18 free. Please check the flyer below for more info.

Anyway, after the lesson, I went to Downtown L.A. to return to the Filipino American Cultural Heritage Festival in Grand Park. It was REALLY fun. I played with toys, threw some sticks around, ate some delicious filipino Barbecue, and watched some Martial Arts.

Here's some photos I took there...

Well, that was my last weekend. I hope this one's just as good...

And now, as always, I'm gonna end this post with the most beautiful song in this whole, entire world.
