Spirituality and Me
I'm not spiritual, I just try to be a good person.
If you have been reading this blog, then you know that for a while now, I've been posting a video series from You Tube called "Spirit Science". I love this series because it deals with many esoteric subjects like intuition, meditation, astral projection, channeling, etc. in a simple way that anyone can follow and understand. And, they're quite entertaining too.

Now this video was originally uploaded last Febuary, so of course, things have progressed with Spirit Science since then. If you want to know more about their latest developments, check out their website, www.thespiritscience.net.
I became interested in spirituality in 1996, when I was learning about a martial art that goes deeply into it. I say, "Learning About", because I wasn't serious about the spiritual part. And it was true about every Spiritual subject I came across. I mean, I read about it, to a point that I had an "intellectual" understanding about different spiritual subjects. But I didn't have any real experience with spirituality, and to be honest with you, I really didn't care to have any. That is, until I had a chance encounter with THIS WOMAN:
Ever since I met her, a lot of things have been happening to me, little things(like learning about the Spirit Science series) that have been getting me to see things in a different light. I guess you can say that my sense of spirituality was awakened in me, and also, a desire to develope a connection with people, and ultimately, the divine.
I don't know if i'll be famous, or rich, or even happy. But I do know that wherever happens in my life, I will try always... to be a good person. And of course, I do make mistakes... I am human after all.

This week, I posted a documentary of the life of Siddharta Gautama, better known as Buddha. I also posted the video description from You Tube below the video.

This documentary covers the life of Siddhartha Gautama, a young prince from India who went out to find the reason for "Dukkha" [problems] of human life. He later found the reason of Dukkha and teached a way to live life. He was later known as the Buddha, the founder of "Buddhism".
The religion with no god. "If there is any religion that would cope with modern scientific needs it would be Buddhism." -Albert Einstein
BBC had a nice documentary covering Buddha's life important events. Watch the full documentary before commenting. BBC has not made anything wrong. They had specified that Buddha was born in Lumbini which is Nepal. Don't argue the documentary made to understand the philosophy and teachings of Buddha, no matter where he was born. Buddhism is way far ahead than what people are arguing here.
Do not believe in something because you are told to. Do not believe in something because a holy person said it. Do not believe in something because you read it from a book. Follow and practice the teaching without prejudice. If it brings happiness to you and others and does not encourage self harm or harm to others then follow it. Although this was taught by buddha, I believe it is a beautiful principle that can be applied to everything we learn in life. May you all be happy.

How to Overcome Addiction (Ask Teal Episode About Addiction)

In this episode of Ask Teal, the topic addressed is: Addiction. Addiction is the participation in a habitual activity or substance that a person seeks out in order to feel relief, but which has more control over a person than a person has over it. Most of us alive today (given the previous statement) are addicted to something. But obviously there are varying degrees of damage that specific addictive activities or substances do to a person's life. This video is aimed at those individuals who have noticed that their particular addiction is doing damage to themselves and their lives. In this video, Teal explains that addiction only reinforces powerlessness. She outlines steps that one can take to stop their addiction. And goes on to say that the absolute most important part of recovery is to discover and heal the motivation behind the addiction. Teal explains that addiction is not about the substance or activity that we are addicted to. Addiction is always about what we are trying to run away from, avoid or make ourselves numb to with the addiction. Until we find and heal what is beneath the addiction (what led us to the addiction in the first place), the motivation for engaging in the addictive substance or behavior will remain. If the motivation remains, the addiction will remain. The person, whose motivation remains, will experience relapse after relapse. Recovery is not just about removing the substance or activity from our lives, it is about creating a whole new life where we don't even feel the urge to engage in our addiction in the first place.

This is not right...

The sangha needs to be disrobed immediately for going against the tenets of buddhism and abusing their position over the upasaka. and the laity should know better, you don't need to be a monk to know the difference between right and wrong.

Every day during this month, Muslims all over the world abstain from food, drink, and other physical needs during the daylight hours. As a time to purify the soul, refocus attention on God, and practice self-sacrifice, Ramadan is much more than just not eating and drinking.
Though I am not muslim, I respect the religion, and I have quite a few muslim friends. So for them, and for all muslims, I say HAPPY RAMADAN!!!

How to Stop a Panic Attack (Ask Teal Episode about Anxiety Attacks)

In this episode of Ask Teal, the topic is: Panic Attacks. Teal explains that a panic attack is the result of a fearful thought, which we are usually unaware of having thought. The thought generates the emotion of fear. But it generates a level of fear which seems "out of context" for what is currently going on in the environment, which in turn, makes you feel crazy. The fear of loosing control and being crazy adds to the fear, giving rise to a full blown panic attack. The panic causes a cascade of "fight or flight" chemicals to flood the body leading to an array of debilitating symptoms and sensations. Teal then outlines the steps to stopping a panic attack when you find yourself having one.
It is possible to stop a panic attack, naturally and learn very valuable information from them about what is right and wrong for you personally

In this episode of Ask Teal, The topic addressed is: Living from the Heart. In this episode, Teal explains that living from the heart means to emanate your true essence. It means to become the embodiment of love, equanimity and freedom.
The heart is the first organ to appear when we come into physical form. It is the first organ which develops in a human fetus. It is often called "the seat of the soul" because the human heart is the first interface between our non physical soul and our physical body. Its electromagnetic field is unparalleled.
If we are able to get in touch with our hearts, we will be able to get in touch with our higher selves (the eternal, benevolent essence that we truly are) which is the true goal of spirituality. Spiritual life is not about knowing much, it is about loving much. It is about getting in touch with our truest self. It is about opening out heart so wide, that "enemy" is not a concept which exists in our reality. And more than that, it is about opening the heart and living from the heart to such a degree that eventually there is also no such concept in our life as "other".

How to Manifest Money (Ask Teal Episode about Manifesting Money and Cre...
Hi There.
I've been watching these "Ask Teal" episodes on You Tube for a while now, and I decided to start posting them on this blog whenever a new one comes out. This is the first one, called "How to Manifest Money."

In this episode of Ask Teal, the topic addressed is: Money. Teal explains that money is not good or bad in and of itself. Instead money is a tool much like a hammer is a tool. Money is a tool that can help facilitate many things in our current society. Teal also explains that if we want to invite money into our reality, we can't be focused on the lack of money. We also can't hope to manifest money if we have negative attitudes towards money. In this episode, Teal outlines 12 steps to take in order to generate wealth in your life and begin manifesting money into your experience. She urges us to understand that we do not need to work hard to earn the abundance that we seek. Instead, it is our birthright to receive the manifestation of anything we could possibly think up to desire... including more money. The experience of abundance is an experience you deserve and you don't have to "do" anything to deserve it!
1. Focus on (pay attention to) things which make you feel as if you already have abundance and wealth and not on things which make you feel poor. (Be in a space of appreciation)
2. Visualize what you want, why you want it and what you'll do with it.
3. Root out and replace your limiting beliefs relative to money. Get a positive association with money.
4. When you have to spend money, think your way into it feeling good to spend that money. No buyer's remorse, no guilt, no focus on lack or loss.
5. Avoid debt. If you already have debt, eliminate it.
6. "Follow the white rabbit". Set forth an intention and let the opportunities show up for you in the shape of synchronicities and unexpected coincidences and then act on inspired action.
7. Re-frame your life from one of earning/effort to deserving.
8. Take any step which will help you to release resistance relative to money. This is individual, for example, for some that may mean creating a budget, for others it may mean saving.
9. Take note of EVERY form of abundance which is flowing into your experience no matter how small of large. And don't take inventory (focus on where you aren't yet) instead trust the universe to deliver exactly what you ask for. The law of the land is Ask and it is given.
10. Take time to visualize that you are a magnet who breathes money to you.
11. Engage in a virtual spending spree
12. Shift all of your attitudes towards safety/security. Don't treat money as if it is the thing separating you from disaster or not being safe. Instead, treat thoughts of lack of safety like they are the things separating you from disaster and not being safe. You want to focus on visualizing what safety and security would feel like and also on shifting your beliefs about all aspects of your life where you feel powerless. This will ensure that money will not be influenced by your focus on fear, disaster or powerlessness.

Hi Everybody!!! As we all know, The Fourth of July, or Independence Day, is a federal holiday that celebrates the adoption of the Declaration of the Independence on July 4th, 1776. (What many peope don't know, is that event actually happened on july 2nd, 1776.)
So, what are you guys doing today? Me, I'm gonna cook and eat some barbecue, and go to a block party.
Anyway, let's start the day with Danni El's LITTLE HEART, with Christopher Bear on the drums. I first saw them perform that song last year at the Artwalk in Downtown L.A., which still happens every second Thursday of the month.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANNI EL!!!
If you read this blog, then the woman below needs NO introduction. But to anybody who doesn't know...
Say hello to Danni El.
She is a very talented musician, and one of the best people out there you're ever going to meet. I made a couple of posts a while back about how I met her, so here's an abbreviated version.
It was April 16th, 2011. I was out in Hollywood, hurrying back to the Hollywood - Highland Red Line Station. But just before I got there, I heard a sound, a very beautiful, angelic sound that was calling to me, so I turned around...
I saw a woman perform one of the most beautiful songs I ever heard, which I found out later that day was named COLORES, totally mesmerized.
I didn't stay long enough for her to finish singing her second song, because the time left on my Bus transfer was about to run out and I had to get out of there... but in her guitar case, she had a cardboard sign that had her name, her facebook page, her You Tube page, and her twitter. So, I borrowed a pen, wrote down her information, and when I got home, I tracked her down on FB and introduced myself, and added links to her FB page, her YouTube Channel, and her Twitter to this blog (you can find them in the Side Bar). I went back up to Hollywood Blvd, at least once a week for a whole month hoping to see her perform. And, when she was doing live shows, I posted announcements about them on my FB page and on this blog.
In other words, I became a BIG fan.
Well, that's about it. there's not much more than that. Well, there is that time when I got that Harry Potter wand, and also the time when I introduced myself to her in person, but I'll tell that story another time.
Well anyway, now that I told you all a little bit about who she is, here's my special birthday message to her.

Like I have in you.
