HAPPY MONDAY!!!

I Resist the Temptation to Judge Others.
~Jonathan-Lockwood Huie

GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE!!!

You know, I've been posting about things in my life I've been grateful about for about a week and a half now, and I noticed one thing. I HAVE A HUGE AMOUNT OF THINGS TO BE GRATEFUL FOR!!! I had no idea that if I just really examined my life, I'd find so many things to be happy about. I have many more things to be grateful about, and I'll tell you about them tomorrow.

But today, I'm only Grateful for one thing. That my friend Danni El has come back to L.A.!!!

Last April, she went back to FLORIDA, or to be more precise, Miami, where she stayed for a few months. But now, recently (I don't know when), she came back to L.A. I posted her a welcome back message last friday (click here if you want to see it), but I admit, I don't know how long she'll be in L.A. What I mean is, I don't know if it's for a short time, or if she's here to stay.

But she is in L.A. RIGHT NOW, so for this week, I'm gonna post her songs here. First up is the first song I ever heard her play, and my favorite song in the whole world, COLORES.

I know I’m not perfect; I never was and probably never will be. I’m extremely emotional and I mostly don’t think about things before I say them. Invariably, I’ll say some things that will make you want to strangle me. I’ll probably hurt you and make more mistakes than you can imagine even though I don’t mean to. I don’t hurt anyone intentionally however I always apologize for being rude.will I’m still learning about everything, even if I think I already knows it. I’ve been hurt. Hurt deeply. Sometimes I feels so alone I can hardly stand it. Other times I’m so happy I acts weird. I’m just trying to figure out this twisted time in my life when everything gets really complicated real fast and everything seems to spin out of control before I even begins to understand what’s going on. But I love, I laugh, and do my best and that’s all you can ever ask of me. I am caring and I respect and value true friends…..

Now, I usually like to start the day with a link to a You Tube music video featuring one of my favorite artists... but Today, I thought I'd do something a little different. For this week, I thought I'd post a link to some more inspirational videos that I've been looking at for a long time...

So, today's video is called, MESSAGE TO HUMANITY 2012.

The Fastest Way to Find Happiness; Ask Teal Episode With Spiritual Lumin...

Video Description from You Tube:

Published on Oct 20, 2012 by TheSpiritualCatalyst Today's episode of Ask Teal is about: The Fastest Way to Find Happiness.

The fastest way to find happiness is to alter your thoughts so that they feel good to think. Your life is nothing more than the byproduct of your thoughts. Your experience is nothing more than the result of your beliefs. If you want an enjoyable experience, the answer is to choose enjoyable thoughts and beliefs. The end of your suffering is accomplished by questioning your thoughts. I can tell you personally that it is not the experience that is in and of itself painful, it is the thoughts you're thinking about the experiences you are having that make them painful. If you change the way you think about them, their meaning changes and they will cease to be painful.

There is no way to lead a happy life and believe in our own painful thoughts at the same time. Happiness really is in your mind. Happiness is in your mind because reality is in the mind. When the mind is happy, the reality we are living is happy. Happiness is all we can project when we set ourselves free from painful thoughts. Because, happiness is all that remains.

Another message to Danni El

Wassup!!!

Autumn is my least favorite season, but has always been the time of year when the best things seem to happen, things that make Autumn a special season. From my birthday, which is on the official last day of summer, to Halloween, to el Dia de los Muertos, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and the Holiday season, (which starts off the winter season, actually).

And now this year, An amazing thing has happened, Another reason to make Autumn a special time of season, has taken place. Well, for me anyway. So, What Happened? Well, a woman has come back to L.A. A very, special woman.

This beautiful woman is Danni El.

If you read this blog, then you know who she is. If not, use the search engine on this blog.

Anyway, last April, She went to Florida, where she's from and stayed there for a few months, doing what she loves, and being the special, beautiful soul that she is.

Anyway, now she's back in L.A., and now that she's back, I have a little message for her. Well, here it is.

My Dearest Danni,

like I wrote above, Autumn is my least favorite season, but has always been the time of year when the best things happen. Welcome back to L.A., Danni!!!

I didn't post anything about the last 2 nights I saw you, because frankly, I couldn't bring myself to.

But I should have. Those were magickal nights, weren't they? I still remember them like they happened last night.

I remember your going away party. I remember the food, the dancing, the songs that you, Alejandro, JD, and others played:

And of course, the highlight of the night for me was when I chanted with your group. Now that your back, I want to chant with you guys again. And yes Danni, I'm still keeping my promise...

And, let's not forget the next night over at Radiance Movement:

There was so much talent, so much great energy flowing over there from you, and everyone else who performed there that night... But there was also the realization that that was going to be the last time I was going to see you, in person that is...

You know Danni, when you first told me you were moving to Miami, I didn't like that one bit. I really was NOT looking forward to you leaving.

But I knew that wherever you were going, you were going to do you. You were going to be the wonderful woman that you are, spreading peace and love among everyone around you, along with your music. I wish I was over there to see some of the shows you did over there...

And when I heard about your work teaching the children at The Motivational Edge, I was so proud of you! And I still am.

It's like what I always tell you, Danni:

Wherever you are, that place is a much better place to be, because you are over there.

And I mean that every time I say it.

I think about you all the time. I think of your smiles, your laughter, your songs, and of course, your hugs. I love you very much, Danni. You, and your strong spirit and energy, will be with me, Para Siempre.

And Danni, I take a part of you with me, wherever I go.

Sincerely,
John

P.S. Hey Danni, remember the day I got this?

You know, sometimes things don’t work out, this doesn’t mean that nothing will. One thing isn’t everything, Now isn’t forever even though it may feel like it. Give yourself time to see things clearly. What we feel isn’t always true. In time the disappointment will pass, your feelings will change, your life will be different, you will have new dreams. No matter how hard we try we can’t hold onto today. It will pass. So we must hold its joys and its disappointments with open hands because they weren’t meant to stay, but to fulfil todays purpose. Let go of todays disappointments so your hands will be free to accept tomorrow’s blessings. Life is not just this one day of your life, but all your tomorrows. Each day has its own happiness, enjoy today’s but then move on to enjoy all your tomorrow’s..

Now, I usually like to start the day with a link to a You Tube music video featuring one of my favorite artists... but Today, I thought I'd do something a little different. For this week, I thought I'd post a link to some more inspirational videos that I've been looking at for a long time...

Spirit Science 20 ~ Water

Video description from You Tube:

Published on Oct 13, 2012 by TheSpiritScience

Water. What is it? We all interact with water, we're all made of water, and yet in science today we don't even really understand what it is. There are many unanswered questions about water and what it is that we really don't have conclusive answers too. This is actually a wonderful thing, because admitting we know nothing about something gives us an opportunity to find something out.

In lesson 1, we talked about Emoto's research into what Water is, and many skeptics cried out that there were triple blind studies done with the same experiment, and it yielded results that didn't quite add up to Emoto's work. In my research and understanding, I believe it was because the Triple Blind Studies were not genuine. The intent of the experiment came from a skeptical place, and so that is exactly the results we saw.

When we REALLY look at water (As we do in this video), we can see there is SO much more to Water than meets the eye, and the understanding of what it is can open up to something far grander than what we originally perceived it to be. Water is Life, and it is You.

How To Let Go of Mistakes; Ask Teal Episode about Success After Failure

Video Description from You Tube:

Published on Oct 13, 2012 by TheSpiritualCatalyst

In a perfect world, there would be absolutely no connection between self worth and mistakes. When we make mistakes as children, we are corrected for these mistakes in often unloving ways. The conclusion we draw when we are corrected, is that when we make mistakes, we are bad. This conclusion follows us into adulthood and we internalize the role of the "corrections officer". When we internalize the role of the corrections officer, we criticize, blame and condemn ourselves for our mistakes. It is important to step back and realize that at the time that we make a mistake, we are convinced that we are in fact making the best decision. We are doing what makes sense and what seems reasonable to us at the time. We always choose the action that seems the most likely to meet our needs in a given moment. It is only upon reflection that we can see that our decision may not have been the best one. This is why saying that something is a "mistake" is only something that we can say in retrospect. We make decisions based on our level of awareness. Our level of awareness changes, so we can only say that something is a mistake after our awareness changes. Every single person does what they think is right in the moment. If we judge ourselves and our worth based on that retrospection, what we are doing, is judging our past selves based on today's expanded perspective. Talk about unfair. How fair is it to yourself to expect yourself to know what you did not know at the time?
If you didn't think something was the best thing to do at the time, you would not have done it. We make a lot of these choices that we think are best, but that turn out to be mistakes, but the truth still remains that we only make mistakes because we are not aware that they are mistakes at the time.
The key to loving yourself even when you make a mistake is to change your perspective about the mistake that you have made; in other words, to reframe the mistake. In order to reframe our mistakes, we must change our point of view and therefore our interpretation of the mistake that we have made. We have to look for the value hidden in the mistake and then find thoughts that enable us to let go of the self blame, self criticism and self condemnation we feel for having made the mistake. When you are reframing a mistake, you are looking to give the mistake positive meaning instead of negative meaning. When you have made a mistake, the following questions will help you to re frame that mistake: What valuable thing did this experience teach me that I would not have otherwise known about myself or about another person or about the world? What did this experience cause me to know that I want? What am I going to do differently in the future? How will this mistake help me to live a better life in the future? Is there anything I can do to make reparations for the mistake I have made? If so, what are they? How can I move forward from here? When you are done answering these questions, make a list of all the positive aspects of having made the mistake that you made.
Perfection is defined as freedom from fault or defect, which is ironic because according to this definition, the state of imperfection is perfection. Mistakes are what "makes perfect". It is only by virtue of the feedback that we are getting by making mistakes that we get closer and closer to success. Every "mistake" tells you what you need to correct and therefore brings you closer to the likelihood of success. They call this process successive approximation.

“It’s easy to look at people and make quick judgement about them, their present and their past, but you’d be amazed at the pain and tears a single smile hides. What a person shows to the world is only one tiny facet of the iceberg hidden from sight. And more often than not, it’s lined with cracks and scars that go all the way to the foundation of their soul.” ~ Sherrilyn Kenyon

HAPPY THURSDAY!!!

~Jonathan-Lockwood Huie

GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE!!!

I decided to try something a little new. Everyday, I wish for something better, something "more" to come into my life, but I ignored the things I already have. So, I decided to count my blessings. I decided to list at least 10 things I have in my life already that I'm grateful for. I'm doing this everyday for well, as long as I can, I guess. So, let's see how it goes.

So. what am I grateful for?

1. Thank You for a Brand New Day.

2. I'm grateful for the fact that I'm going to work today.

3. Thank You so much for the check that I'm getting tomorrow.

4. I'm truly grateful for the fact that I had a good day yesterday.

5. I'm truly blessed to be able to eat good food everyday.

6. I'm truly grateful to be here right now, typing this up on my computer.

7. I'm truly grateful for the fact that in 2 days, I'm gonna get a new bicycle.

8. I'm truly blesed for the fact that the last couple of months, I've been working more often than not.

10. And finally, I'm grateful that once again, I'm gonna be able to celebrate the holiday season coming up, starting with Halloween.

“No matter what, once in your life, someone will hurt you. That someone will take all that you are, and rip it into pieces and they won’t even watch where the pieces land. But through the breakdown, you’ll learn something about yourself. You’ll learn that you’re strong, And no matter how hard they destroy you, that you can conquer anyone.”

GOOD MORNING!!!

“Don’t waste your time asking why such an amazing thing could happen to you, just let it happen. Don’t doubt that you could be loved, just let yourself be loved. If you don’t believe you are worthy of anyone’s time, you won’t be. Take yourself seriously and others will too. “Why” is such a wasteful question. Why? Because that’s the way it’s supposed to be. That’s the only answer you can ever have. Accept it.”

Spirit Science 11_11 ~ Dna Activation

Video description from You Tube:

Published on Oct 1, 2012 by TheSpiritScience A popular question/discussion popping up lately is the nature of DNA Activation. How do you activate your DNA, and what does it mean to have Activated DNA at all?

DNA Activation is a reconnection of your original blueprints for life to a higher degree, and as you continue on your path of life you will connect yourself back to yourself deeper and deeper. The Answer of course lies in the connections made within the sacred space of the heart, which can be accessed by breathing, focusing on your heart (Organ & Chakra), and practicing unconditional love of ALL.

Love is not just an affection of another or a feeling you get, but a pure vibration that which everything resonates to at its core, and if one can feel from the space of the heart, one can truly know themselves. It is a choice, and if you choose to follow a path that is destructive, then you will continue to create exactly that.

Namaste! See in-video credits for credits, and please check out the video links at the end!

How to Raise Your Frequency (Ask Teal Episode on Increasing Your Vibration)

Published on Oct 6, 2012 by TheSpiritualCatalyst The topic for today's Ask Teal episode is: How to Raise Your Frequency Consciousness and vibrational frequency go hand in hand. When you're in a low frequency, you're in a decreased state of consciousness-your perception is limited. When you're in a high frequency, you're in an increased state of consciousness and your perception is heightened. The lower your vibrational frequency, the less you are able to comprehend because your ego is restricting the Flow of Life Force/source Energy and Intuition/Love through your mind and body. The higher your vibrational frequency, the more you are able to comprehend because you are allowing a greater Flow of Life Force through your mind and body.
In this episode, Teal explains that raising your frequency means move to a better feeling more positive emotion. She also explains that the trump card of all things that raise frequency is focus... nothing is more important than the thoughts you are thinking and whatever you're paying attention to/focusing on. You can not focus on things that cause you to feel bad, and hold a high vibration. Teal then goes on to describe eleven more steps that you can take to increase your frequency.

Well, it looks like I got a repreive... I don't have to work today. Actually, I'm a little upset. You psyche yourself up to work for 6 days, and especially after not working for so long... oh well. Santa Monica, here I come!

I believe that we are who we choose to be. Nobody’s going to come and save you, you’ve got to save yourself. Nobody’s going to give you anything. You’ve got to go out and fight for it. Nobody knows what you want except for you. And nobody will be as sorry as you if you don’t get it. So don’t give up on your dreams.

GOOD MORNING!!!

“Eleven Hints for Life”
1. It hurts to love someone and not be loved in return. But what is more painful is to love someone and never find the courage to let that person know how you feel.
2. A sad thing in life is when you meet someone who means a lot to you, only to find out in the end that it was never meant to be and you just have to let go.
3. The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you’ve ever had.
4. It’s true that we don’t know what we’ve got until we lose it, but it’s also true that we don’t know what we’ve been missing until it arrives.
5. It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, and a day to love someone-but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.
6. Don’t go for looks, they can deceive. Don’t go for wealth, even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright.
7. Dream what you want to dream, go where you want to go, be what you want to be. Because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do.
8. Always put yourself in the other’s shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the person too.
9. A careless word may kindle strife. A cruel word may wreck a life. A timely word may level stress. But a loving word may heal and bless.
10. The happiest of people don’t necessarily have the best of everything they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.
11. Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss, ends with a tear. When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you’re the one smiling and everyone around you is crying.

THE CHARTER FOR COMPASSION

Video description taken from You Tube:

Uploaded by CharterforCompassion on Nov 12, 2009 AFFIRM the Charter today: http://charterforcompassion.org

Video Produced by: Captain & The Fox (captainandthefox.com) in partnership with WORKSHOP (workshoplovesyou.com).

Video Music Composed by: Naturalistic (naturalistic.net)

The principle of compassion lies at the heart of all religious, ethical and spiritual traditions, calling us always to treat all others as we wish to be treated ourselves. Compassion impels us to work tirelessly to alleviate the suffering of our fellow creatures, to dethrone ourselves from the centre of our world and put another there, and to honour the inviolable sanctity of every single human being, treating everybody, without exception, with absolute justice, equity and respect.

It is also necessary in both public and private life to refrain consistently and empathically from inflicting pain. To act or speak violently out of spite, chauvinism, or self-interest, to impoverish, exploit or deny basic rights to anybody, and to incite hatred by denigrating others - even our enemies - is a denial of our common humanity. We acknowledge that we have failed to live compassionately and that some have even increased the sum of human misery in the name of religion.

We therefore call upon all men and women ~ to restore compassion to the centre of morality and religion ~ to return to the ancient principle that any interpretation of scripture that breeds violence, hatred or disdain is illegitimate ~ to ensure that youth are given accurate and respectful information about other traditions, religions and cultures ~ to encourage a positive appreciation of cultural and religious diversity ~ to cultivate an informed empathy with the suffering of all human beings, even those regarded as enemies.

We urgently need to make compassion a clear, luminous and dynamic force in our polarized world. Rooted in a principled determination to transcend selfishness, compassion can break down political, dogmatic, ideological and religious boundaries. Born of our deep interdependence, compassion is essential to human relationships and to a fulfilled humanity. It is the path to enlightenment, and indispensible to the creation of a just economy and a peaceful global community.

GOOD MORNING!!!

To me, there are three things we all should do every day. We should do this every day of our lives. Number one is laugh. You should laugh every day. Number two is think. You should spend some time in thought. And number three is, you should have your emotions moved to tears, could be happiness or joy. But think about it. If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that’s a full day. That’s a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week, you’re going to have something special.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE, AND WELCOME TO OCTOBER!!! FINALLY, after so many months semi - employed, I'm knee deep in work! 10 hours a day, 6 days a week... HOw long am I gonna last? Well, I asked for it, and now, I'm gonna get it.

Heroes don’t fly over buildings or stop bullets with their hands and they don’t wear boots and capes. Heroes are ordinary people who know that even if their own lives need attention, they help untangle someone else’s. Heroes will listen to a friend’s problem and keep their own despair, quiet in their hearts. Whether it’s taking care of the sick, the old or the broken, heroes are ones to put their own needs last. Someday, maybe one act could lead someone to rescuing them right back because heroes need heroes too.

Now, let's start today off with SNAKECHARMER, by Ottmar Leibert.
