Crystals (Ask Teal Episode About Crystals and Gemstones)

To many people who are grounded only in the physical reality, the idea of a crystal being anything more than a pretty rock sounds like new age hooey. But there is more to this life than the physical dimension. Our current definition of what makes something alive versus dead is incredibly inadequate. It is time that we began looking at the concept of "alive" in terms of consciousness. Let's define things that are consciousness as things that are aware, and which can think and perceive. Minerals, especially Crystals are "alive". That is they are conscious. They are aware. They think and perceive. The earth itself is comprised of mostly, iron, silicate rock and oxygen. You could consider mineral energy to be the original manifestation of the consciousness that we call mother earth, which also is its own living being.
The governing law of every dimension within the universe is that of "oneness". In physical life, we have come to call this the "Law of Attraction". Simply put, only frequencies that are a vibrational match can co-exist. Therefore, in order to share the same space with another "form", you must be vibrating at the same level as it is vibrating. Health is the natural state of any form within the universe. Therefore, the natural inclination and tendency of anything within the universe is that of balance, cohesiveness and ease. This means that the natural progression of vibration is to entrain and resonate in the direction of health. Because of this, when you share the space a crystal (or gemstone) that has a resistance free vibration, instead of the vibration of the crystal adopting a non cohesive pattern, your energy will entrain with the energy of the crystal and adopt it's cohesive pattern. Because of this entrainment effect, crystals and gemstones are incredibly adept at bringing us back into a vibrational state of health and harmony. Anything with an inherent energetic pattern of non resistance can act like a tuning fork, by offering a vibration that we can use to re-tune ourselves to a healthy vibration. This is what is really happening on the energetic levels of substructure when you listen to a song that makes you feel good, or spend time near a person that makes you feel good, or take a homeopathic remedy.
Many people, who are mentally limited by the physical dimension, would have you believe that you are personifying an inanimate object when you treat rocks as if they are pets or people. But...these crystals are living beings. So, once you can get over the socially conditioned embarrassment of talking to a rock... you will discover that they are more like very good friends or family members than they are "tools".

This Ask Teal Video is a Random Acts of Kindness Challenge. The challenge is to do as many random acts of kindness during one week as you can think of to do.
In an entangled universe, you are receiving every kind gesture that you extend towards another. This is why kindness feels so good to give. We receive it every time we do it. We create a world of kindness for ourselves when we create a world of kindness for other people. The society we live in is not an entity with its own free will. It is a sum of its tiniest part which is one single person. What you do when the society you live in looks harsh and cruel and causes you to feel isolated, is become (as an individual) that which you wish this society was...cultivate unity, compassion and kindness in yourself and the world. This means leave your house, and form connections with other people by demonstrating compassion and kindness towards other people. The very best way to do this is random acts of kindness. Random acts of kindness include kind gestures all the way from rubbing someone's back to paying off someone's college tuition. Every single act counts. Random acts of kindness don't have to add stress to your life, doing them should not make you feel as if you are sacrificing yourself and what little energy you have. You don't want to do things that take away from your own happiness. They should feel good to do. They should come straight from the heart's desire to see other people happy and to allow ourselves to be who we really are. You can do random acts of kindness whether you are a millionaire or you have only the clothes on your back to your name. It is Teal's desire that you share some of the things you do during this week in the comment section of this video so everyone can read it and see that somewhere in the world; there are people just like you who care, people who are facilitating compassion kindness and love on this planet. A challenge like this can unite us, no matter how far apart we may be living geographically on this space ship called earth.

GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE!!! September 22nd: The first day of Autumn. And it's 100 more days until the end of the year. And because of this, today marks the first day of a physical challenge I'm gonna take on. The 100 Burpee Challenge.
What I'm gonna do is, everyday for the next 100 days, in addition to my other exercises, I'm gonna do a burpee. And I'm gonna add a burpee each day. Today, I'm gonna do 1 burpee, tomorrow, 2 burpees, Monday, 3 burpees, and so on, until I reach 100 burpees, by December 31st If for some reason I miss a day, then I have to make it up the next day. Like if tomorrow, I miss doing my 2 burpees, then on monday, I have to do 2 more burpees, along with the 3 I have to do. Now that seems to be an easy enough challenge, but I tried it twice already, and failed it. But this time, I'm determined to pass it. WISH ME LUCK!!!
Now, as for my Birthday celebration, I'm not done yet! I'm going to Hollywood today, and I'm gonna go to the URBAN PERMACULTURE HOUSE tonight for a the Fall equinox gathering they're having. And then tomorrow, we'll see.
Yesterday, while at the 3rd street promenade in Santa Monica, I saw a new, talented singer named Tahlia Francine. She was singing songs from the top 40, and she has a great voice! She said she'll be back this Monday, so if you're on the promenade, be sure to check her out! And Naia Kete was there with her band... You know, it takes me 3 hours to get out there and back, and I don't consider it a good trip unless I witness them perform. Here's their original song CRAZY GLUE.

GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE!!! Wow, today's finally here! September 21st is a very special day. Not only is it my birthday, but World Gratitude Day, AND the International Day of Peace all fall on this day.
It's also the "official" last day of summer, which I used to have mixed feelings about when I was younger... but now, for me it's a prelude for more good times. And Today, I got a full day planned. First, I'm going to breakfast at Denny's with a wonderful person, Then I'm going all over L.A. First, to the new Grand Park, then, to Venice Beach, then to Santa Monica... It's gonna be a full weekend of good times.
Thank you, God, for giving me another year of life. Thank you for all the people who remembered me today by sending cards, and letters, gifts and good wishes. Thank you for all the experience of this past year; for times of success which will always be happy memories, for times of failure which reminded me of my own weakness and of my need for you, for times of joy when the sun was shining, for times of sadness which drove me to you. Forgive me for the hours I wasted, for the chances I failed to take, for the opportunities I missed this past year. Help me in the days ahead to make this the best year yet, and through it to bring good credit to myself, happiness and pride to my loved ones, and joy to you. Amen.

Dallas Malandros.. Os Malandros de mestre Touro
I saw these two great capoeira videos on You Tube. They were made by group called DALLAS MALANDROS, who are the Dallas branch of a capoeira group called OS MALANDROS DE MESTRE TOURO. They teach a unique form of capoeira called CAPOEIRA ANGOLA de SAO BENTO GRANDE. The reason it is unique is because, among other things, it is an old form of capoeira that was born and developed in the city of Rio de Janeiro, and NOT in the city of Salvador, Bahia as the main forms forms of capoeira angola, and capoeira regional were.
In the first video, we have one of the teachers, Professor Bode Cantador talk a little bit about what Capoeira means to him, and in the second video, we have a open roda at a farmers market in Dallas. I like this particular video because in the second game, it shows a fat student playing, and doing pretty good. It just goes to show you that ANYBODY can come and study capoeira, no matter the age, color, creed, or body type.
When I went to leimert park and saw a capoeira roda a couple of months ago, the teacher who ran the roda said that a lot of students who first come to him, they are intimidated by all the acrobatic movements and stuff, and they ask him if they do some kind of exercises to prepare to be able to start capoeira. And he tells them, all you need to do to prepare... is to walk through the door.

GOOD MORNING!!! Not having a bike anymore is starting to suck... I got chased half a block by a pit-bull somebody let out. But a funny thing happened. when I couldn't run anymore, and turned around to face the dog, it stopped chasing me, started whimpering, and went the other way. So, it's all good. Besides, running my ass off like that, I got some much needed exercise...

GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE!!! I said I was gonna go into a little more detail about my time at Harvells last friday night. Well... here it is.
I got there a little early, a couple of minutes before the door opened. When it did open, I paid the cover and went inside. There was a great jam session already going on, as Chris Pierce and his band, the guys who went on before the Big Joe band, were playing some tunes, setting the stage for what came a little later. I found a seat and listened to chris and his band rehearse for a bit, and while they were rehearsing, Big Joe Hurt came in from the rear entrance with 1 or 2 of his band members. And then a few minutes after chris & his band finished, I went out for some fresh air. And that's when I saw Roxie Sakura outside having a smoke, and hanging out with a couple of friends, one of whom was in Joe's band that night. Last Saturday, I had the priveledge of listening to Roxie and her band the KI play at the UN Women L.A. Chapter MUSIC Event in Culver City. I also met this great poet named Sean Hill there. But Anyway, We exchanged pleasantries, and then I went back in Harvells and found a couple of people I met last week, and I found and greeted Jocelyn Kay Levy and Alana Lee. They played at Harvells last week in a band called GOTAWAY GIRL. Anyway, this week they were here playing with Joe's band as backup singers. Anyway, I found my seat again, and waited for the show to begin.
And the show started off with a bang! Chris Pierce and his band started their set a little after 9:30, and he immediately had everything ROCKING! The drinks were flowing, the people were dancing, and there wasn't a care in the world. In other words, everybody was having a great time. Then chris finished his set, and things slowed down a bit as everybody was taking a breather while the stage was being prepared for Big Joe Hurt and his Band.
When Big Joe and his band finally started, he picked up where Chris left off, and then some. One thing I really liked was that during his show, Joe had brought up some local artists on to the stage, and gave them a chance to showcase their talent. And one other thing. There was this really cute waitress working there... all right, seh wasn't cute, she was SMOKING HOT! I couldn't talk to her because she was really busy, but I really regret not getting at least her name. Well, maybe next time...
I could have been there all night listening to Joe and his band rock the house, but around 12:30, I had to leave and embark on my long, 3 hour trip home. You know, I gotta say that last friday didn't start off too well. My bike was stolen right out of my backyard, or garage because I don't remember where I put it, and there were a lot of little things that were just pissing me off... I was having a bad morning. But listening to Chris Pierce and Big Joe and his band that night set my day right. I believe Chris said it right when he was talking about the healing power of music. Point is, I left the house feeling like crap, and got back feeling on top of the world.
Well today, I'm gonna finally rest. I'm gonna catch up on some things I've been putting aside, and get ready for this upcoming week.

Pets (Ask Teal Episode with Teal Scott about Domesticated Animals)

Today's Ask Teal episode is about: Pets. In this episode, Teal explains that beings only ever opt into the experience if it serves them in some way. The reason that they are so easy to love and the reason that they are such good teachers is that they are much more allowing. They remain aware of their own temporary nature. They remain aware of their eternal spirit and so they do not attach to their identities and resist death and resist what they do not like in the way that we do. They tend to stay in alignment regardless of the conditions of their life unless they are trained away from that alignment. It is natural for them to gravitate towards what they enjoy and not focus on what they do not enjoy and because of this alignment, they are able to more closely match the vibration and perspective of their eternal consciousness or higher selves and so they are able to hold the focus and vibration of unconditional love. They do not harbor negative intentions, regardless of what is done to them and you can feel it off of them.
Animals are amplifiers of your own vibrational state; they magnify and reflect your emotions back to you. Animals are allowing, this is beneficial to them when they are allowing of their own alignment which is quite easy for them. But not so beneficial when they allow their own alignment with a human who is out of alignment. Animals are not selfless as so many think, for the most part...they are completely self gratifying. They fill up their own cups. And just like people, when their cup is full, it is the natural state of the animal to extend help and extend unconditional love and to accept others in its environment. Like humans, only the animal who has adopted an expectation of scarcity, is greedy and defensive of its food. People are so bad at self gratification and self love that it is rare that their cup is full enough to be unconditionally loving. Animals on the other hand, especially cats are so good at self gratification and self love that it is rare that their cup is empty enough to not be unconditionally loving.

9-11 11 years later. The American Republic is under attack. Bold advances by the globalist have taken place after one of the greatest attacks on American soil shook the country. Today we are constantly told the government must take away our rights in order to protect us from the myth of Al Qaida even after the U.S. government declared the War on Terror over this April 24th, 2012. In the recent illegal arrest and detainment of ex Marine Brandon Raub, his attorney, who is on the front lines of defending 1st amendment right activists made the claim that government really does not like 9-11 truthers. Is 9-11 the Achilles heel of the New World Order? Exposing the truth of 9-11 is critical in the fight for liberty. Regardless of what you believe there are illegitimate questions that must be answered. Why did the hijacked planes circle Washington for over an hour without being shot down? How did WTC building 7 collapse when it only had a fire on a few floors and was never hit by a plane? The whole idea of a martial Art form designed to fight evil spirits... When I first heard of San Shen Tan Tien Kung Fu (or SSTT for short), it was on THE TAO BUMS, a martial art discussion forum. The first words that came to mind when I first read about it was "WHAT THE FUCK!?" and I was VERY skeptical. But I was also really, REALLY curious about it, and wanted to know more, since I have an interest in metaphysics and spirituality. One of these days, pretty soon, I WILL check them out.

MARTIAL ARTS I WANT TO LEARN MORE ABOUT: PENCAK SILAT SETIA HATI
I posted about Pencak Silat Setia Hati before. I'm interested in this style because one of the styles of Silat that I'm learning has incorporated some elements of this style into it's curriculum, and so, I want to know more about it. The video below is the same video I used in the old post.

Miriam Makeba (4 March 1932 – 10 November 2008), nicknamed Mama Africa, was a Grammy Award-winning South African singer and civil rights activist. She is best known for the song "Pata Pata", first recorded in 1957 and released in the U.S. in 1967. As a result, the South African government revoked her citizenship and right of return. After the end of apartheid she returned home. DESERVING: Ask Teal Episode about Deserving vs. Entitlement

In this episode of Ask Teal the topic is: Deserving
The biggest roadblock to achieving a anything you want is feeling as if you don't deserve it. The belief "I don't deserve" is a collective human disorder. This pattern of feeling as if you don't deserve also normally begins in childhood. This pattern begins in childhood, when we come to the conclusion that if we aren't getting something, we must not deserve it.
Children are led to believe that to be loved they must be "good". What this means to a child when they are not feeling love from an adult is that they must be "bad". And we make a special point in society of letting children know that children that are bad do not deserve good things. This is a form of punishment I like to call withholding.
We are socialized into the belief that the only people who believe that they deserve things are entitled and therefore bad people. When we form the belief that to be loved we must be good and that only bad people think they deserve things, we decide that it is important that no matter what we do, we don't let ourselves think that we deserve things. We think that surely, if we operate from the belief that we don't deserve things, it will make us more lovable. We mistake this choice for humility and so we begin to punish ourselves (like we've been taught that good people do) with this form of abuse called withholding.
For those of us who can't quite shake the belief that to think you deserve something automatically makes you an entitled, selfish person, it is very important to distinguish between entitlement and deserving.
Deserving is the deep, internal knowing that one is worthy of what one needs and wants. Therefore the belief that you do not deserve something is an issue of not feeling worthy. In other words it's a self worth issue. The person who believes that they deserve something has self worth. Conversely, the person who believes that they do not deserve something does not have self worth.
Entitlement is the belief that one has a right to claim what one deserves from others. Therefore, entitlement is not a belief which has anything to do with true deserving. A person who feels as if they deserve something, also has the self worth to trust that they can get whatever they want without having to take it from anyone or anything else. A person who feels entitled, has a deep insecurity about their own ability to get whatever they want and this leads them to cover over their insecurity with both pride and the arrogant thought that they deserve to have it provided for them by others.
Teal goes on to explain that this universe that we live in does not operate in terms of deserving or not deserving. Your deserving was not, is not and never will be in question. It is an absolute given. There was never, is never and will never be a time that you did not deserve love. There was never, is never and will never be a time that you do not deserve happiness. You deserve to have anything you could ever want the minute that you want it. The reason we do not get what we want in life has absolutely nothing to do with whether we deserve it or not. It has to do with whether or not we believe we deserve it.

Now, Let's start the day with Miriam Makeba, singing AMAMPONDO.
Miriam Makeba (4 March 1932 – 10 November 2008), nicknamed Mama Africa, was a Grammy Award-winning South African singer and civil rights activist. In the 1960s she was the first artist from Africa to popularize African music in the U.S. and around the world. She is best known for the song "Pata Pata", first recorded in 1957 and released in the U.S. in 1967. She recorded and toured with many popular artists, such as Harry Belafonte, Paul Simon, and her former husband Hugh Masekela. She actively campaigned against the South African system of apartheid. As a result, the South African government revoked her citizenship and right of return. After the end of apartheid she returned home. She died on 10 November 2008 after performing in a concert in Italy organized to support writer Roberto Saviano in his stand against the Camorra, a mafia-like organisation local to the region of Campania.
